Chapter 4 - Chapter 3: Home

Noah had his head patted and hair ruffled by Diara and he started to feel better.

He wasn't alone, atleast not anymore, he might not remember much from his past but he wouldn't let that affect him too much.

"Thank you"

He said as he looked up at Diara's smiling face, he really meant it. She hesitated for a moment before pulling him into a hug before whispering

"Everything would be just fine, just have faith".

After waiting a while for him to calm down, Diara led Noah out of the office and they started moving out of the temple, they crossed a field where children where running around while being supervised by a few women in the priestess outfit and a man dressed like a knight.

Diara noticed him looking around and couldn't help but smile to herself, It was good that he started looking better even if he wasn't smiling yet, it would take time but she had nothing but time, there was no time limit to his staying with her after all.

A short and peaceful moment passed as she led Noah to a set of houses on the other side of the field.

Looking around as he followed behind Diara, Noah observes the children and their interactions with who he assumed was their caretakers or teachers but his eyes where drawn specifically to the environment.

The temple entrance they came out from seemed to be carved from marble as it blistered underneath the sun's ray, the temple itself was made of wood and was a large hall like building with a bell at its top, it all looked very sacred.

The building stood alone without a fence but it had a beautifully decorated lawn around it with flowers that were definitely being cared for and arranged meticulously.

The setting of the temple seemed to be that of a calm and refreshing type as just being in the area made one's spirit soar.

The field was not far from the temple just towards the side and looking back he saw that the entrance he thought was grand and beautiful was only one of the 3 possible entrance into the temple and he couldn't help but mutter

"I thought this was an abandoned town"

Daria heard his voice and replied

"Before Gamora was abandoned it had a huge population and the temple had to be of a fitting status, now everything just looks over the top, but if you were to visit the town you'd find it to be normal, nice buildings exist everywhere around here"

On the other side of the field were 2 sets of houses enclosed within a medium-sized fence, they laid side by side and with a garden in-between them, Diara pushed open the door and led Noah inside

"This is the lodge for those that work in the temple, The one on the left is for females and is currently only being occupied by me and an apprentice priestess which you will meet soon, and the one on the right is for the males.

Ryan usually stays there but not always so you'd mostly have it to yourself, come let me show you in"

They made their way towards the lodge on the right with Daria using a key to open the main door.

"Who's Ryan" asked Noah.

"Oh, that's the man you saw on the field earlier, his work usually takes him away from town for extended periods but he should be on a break now, so maybe you'll see more of him for a short time"

Noah nodded and walked inside the building and looked around. It had a living room with one wide brown sofa a matching table in front of it, a dining table on the other end with 3 seats and 3 doors at different places not counting the one they entered from.

The decor was all made to match and the colour was brown mixed with dark green, inside the building felt like a forest.

"The lodge has the shared living room, a shared kitchen 2 bedrooms with their own bathrooms, the first room.is being used by Ryan so you take the second, on the other side near the dining area is the door to the kitchen which also has a door to the backyard inside of it.

A few supplies has already been placed in your room to make your stay easier. You can take your time to settle in and properly rest, dinner would be brought to you when it time and we'll see tomorrow"

After her introduction, She placed a set of keys in Noah's hands and turned around, closing the door on her way out.

Noah walked towards his new room, it was locked but he had a set of keys in hand, slotting a key in he turned *click* and the door opened,

'I must have great luck' he thought to himself.

The room decor was the same as the living room, there was a bed wide enough for one person but not quite fit for 2 at one end of the room, a reading table chair and book stand above the table, on the other end was the bathroom, separated by a glass door with a cabinet for clothes on the same end.

The room was lit dimly due to 2 light sources hanging on opposite sides the walls, it wasn't too bright but was enough to see.

'There must be a switch somewhere around controlling it then if it's this dim'.

Noah made his way to the bathroom, it had a tub, a shower on one end and a toilet and bidet on the other end. In between the 2 was a medium-sized mirror and a cabinet above that for essential. Looking into his mirror he saw his own reflection.

He had black eyes and medium length black hair, was around 175cm tall and had a well defined face, his jaw was sharp and we'll defined, his brows slanted, his nose flat. but traces of baby fat was still in his face. He was just a kid, somewhere between 16 and 18 he guessed.

He went back into the room and opened the wardrobe, found piece of clothing for him to use, the bed was already laid and everything was in order, he had no desire to explore or check any other things in this environment, ever since he woke up he had been tense and never really let lose, so as soon as he lay on the bed he fell into sleep, silence reigned in the room as the only thought Noah had now in his sleepy head was

'Home'
