The body of the creature it had captured lay down in the darkness it called its home and its excitement was through the roof.
Lately it had been feeling various urges, ones it couldn't identify but wanted to understand what they meant and the perfect test subject was here.
It was still a shame however that it had lost two of those subjects. It was a mistake to leave the horde alive, well the rest of the invaders seemed capable enough, so they should be able to handle it.
It wasn't his problem anymore, it had already reduced their overall number by more than half. Besides, wouldn't it be foolish of it to waste all its energy dealing with the horde only for it to get attacked by the creatures?
It was smarter than that, the beast thought to itself, a semblance of pride filling it.
But what should it do with the one it captured? Should it use it as a means to vent the different emotions it felt or should it devour it and aid its evolution first?
