"Do you know how zombies come to life?"
Satya shook his head in disbelief and looked away, walking out of the kitchen.
"I am here trying to listen to what I didn't listen to last time, and you are making fun of me."
Amara gave a humourless laugh. "You have no sense of humour, Satya." There was an affection in her voice and the way she said his name. Even she couldn't help but notice it, and she followed after. He looked at her; he was trying to be furious, but he was anything but. He looks at her differently; she can't say how, but he does, and their eyes lock.
"Zombies…" She went on, and he turned away, sighing and throwing himself on the sofa. She sat beside him, resting her head on the recliner, and she threw her feet on his lap. She waited for him to push it away, but he looked at it and exhaled as if she were testing his patience. To her surprise, he was on her feet, looking at her.
