Chapter 39 - Headlines which took away the Peace

"Louisa, what is this?" Oliver questioned. He was the first one to break the shocking silence

"I have no idea how this happened Dad. I was expecting the headlines like, Louisa Miller, the Princess of Miller empire turned up to the prestigious event like a clown. But this was totally unexpected and shocking to the core," Louisa answered still in shock

" So you have no idea how this happened? Try remembering yesterday's events, Louisa. We will get some lead," Oliver pushed

"Dad, I clearly remember every small detail which took place yesterday. Rudy brought me out before the paparazzi can click pictures of mine with anyone. I posed to the pictures single and Rudy brought the vehicle secretively so that no one will know I am in that. I took a seat in the car and dozed into a nap. But when I open my eyes after reaching the stop it was not Rudy," Louisa replied reminiscing the previous day events

"It was not Rudy? Then who was that? Who is the person who took you and where did he take you? What had happened yesterday?" Oliver shouted

"I saw him, Dad," Louisa said wiping sweat off her forehead

"Whom did you see? Who is that he?" Oliver questioned Louisa when she was lost in the thoughts

Louisa kept looking at the newspaper headlines.

"How can this happen, Dad? Will this bring any unwanted disturbances?" Louisa questioned reading the column

"We will think about that later Louisa. First tell me who is that person whom you saw?" Oliver questioned

"It's IVAN" Louisa replied

Oliver's expressions changed in a blink and he looked astonished and scared at the same time.

"Ivan..? How? I mean how can you see you see him? It's impossible," Oliver said every word stressing.

"I don't have any idea Dad, even I was stunned when I heard him". Oliver cut Louisa's words and started speaking

"You heard him? Didn't you see him?" Oliver questioned

"The two times I was with him it's all dark Dad, All I saw was darkness and the huge German Shepherds surrounding me from all sides. He accused me of deceiving him. He said many things and the German Shepherds kept hounding me. I felt so scared and pressure mounted up inside me. I fell unconscious and when I opened my eyes once I was surrounded by Rudy and the other time I was in that hospital from where you brought me home," Louisa told her father

"Baby, do you realize what you are even speaking? You are speaking about the most impossible thing in the world. I wanted to ask you about yesterday's events but I never expected this stupidity," Oliver yelled

"Dad, how can even you call that stupid? You know what I have been gone through. Everyone labeled that I started seeing illusions again but this is real Dad. I heard him, I felt his touch on me," Louisa yelled

"How are you so sure that it is him?" Oliver questioned with rage

"Seriously, you are questioning me about that? We were two skins and one body. That's how we used to be. He was my lifeline and he still is," Louisa said breaking into tears

"Louisa, don't break down. Please you are having a lot of pressure since yesterday and have been experiencing panic attacks. If you lose your cool now it will be damn difficult for us to get a hold of you and we never know how your condition will be. So please try to keep your heart rate down by not pressuring your mind," Oliver said going down on his knees holding Louisa's hands

"How can I keep cool when no one believes in me and go on saying that I am hallucinating? How can I be calm when the person who was my life starts accusing me?" Louisa cried

"Well, I didn't believe in Rudy's words yesterday but by listening to your talk I think he is right. You are experiencing hallucinations," Oliver stated

"How can you say that Dad? I thought you will understand me," Louisa cried

"I had to believe in their words Baby because you are saying that you have experienced the touch of Ivan; who was dead years back," Oliver yelled

Louisa didn't reply and kept staring at him with teary eyes.

"Baby, we all know that Ivan is no more and we all saw his burial. How can someone feel the touch of a dead person? It is not possible in reality so it is surely your illusion and nothing more than that," Oliver stated

"Why can't anyone believe in me? I am saying the truth. It is his voice and I can recognize that from anywhere," Louisa shrieked

"Louisa, if you are saying something. We should at least have some proof to prove our mettle. Tell me do you have any? No right? Then how can one believe in your words?" Oliver questioned

"I don't care about others Dad, I will be happy even at least the people whom I think as mine believes in my words. I just want to see if you believe in my words," Louisa said with a hope

"No, I don't" Louisa's heart shattered into pieces where the word's left her father's lips

"Wait, where are you leaving?" Oliver questioned holding Louisa's hand when she stood up from the chair and took a step

"Why should stay in the place where people either hates me or ever believes in me," Louisa replied pulling her hands away from her father's grip

"Louisa, you just can't keep walking away if you didn't like something. You need to face that and now your condition is vulnerable and we have more shit to handle than we thought," Oliver said picking the newspaper from the table.

"I have no idea how this happened," Louisa said shrugging

"What do you mean by you have no idea? How will such things happen without your knowledge?" Oliver asked standing closer to Louisa

"You won't believe in the things which happened with my knowledge and you are questioning me about those things which I have no idea about. What had happen to you? Did your wife's influence brushed off on you?" Louisa yelled back at her father

"Louisa more than beliefs it's about proofs and now we don't have any other option than dealing with this. I have already asked Mr. Broad to assign teams to know who conspired this," Oliver replied

"Did you get any leads?" Louisa questioned

"Nothing until now. But…." Oliver dragged

"What is that but? Spill it Dad"

"If this was about us we could have found some or other way. But now that the other party is included I am just worried about their reaction," Oliver said clutching his head

"I will deal with them," Louisa stated

"No Louisa, what will you deal with them? Do you have any idea about their reaction to this news? We haven't received any calls from their side too so it would be best for us to wait for their reaction before taking any step," Oliver warned

"So we should keep waiting until the time we receive any call or information from them? If we sit here folding our hands the paparazzi will teleport this fake news to the whole world and we can't let that happen," Louisa said to her dad

"Everyone would have known the news by now and I am skeptical why didn't we receive any calls until now about that? Usually, in such cases, the whole media will make a fuss and would have waited at our doorstep and our mobiles would have been continuously bombarded by now. But such things are not taking place which looks suspicious to me," Oliver said sitting back in the chair

"You have not received any call about this until now from anyone?" Louisa questioned.

"Nope, Did you get any?" Oliver questioned her back

"No, I too didn't receive….wait," Louisa shrieked

"What happened? Why are you yelling like that?" Oliver questioned shocked

"I have lost my mobile and I have no idea where I lost that," Louisa replied horrified

Oliver's eyelids bulged out hearing to her daughter and Louisa immediately picked the newspapers and screamed looking at the headlines.
