Thaleus sat back a dumb smile showing on his face. All the hard work he'd been putting in had paid off. Of course he knew that his system was a cheat, but what did he care, it was him putting in the effort wasn't it? He looked at his friends and sighed. "What day we go train some more guys?"
They all looked at him gawking "Do you ever stop training?" Derek asked incredulously.
"I mean, I don't ever want to be bullied because of being weak anymore so not really" Thaleus replied back. His face scrunched up as if he'd actually thought about this question long before having to provide an answer.
Kip looked at him strangely "I admire your fortitude."
Thaleus looked at him and was about to reply when the temperature in the bay dropped to where they could see their breath. They all shivered involuntarily, looking around with fear. Thaleus immediately knew that the drop in temperature was caused by just the strength of someone's aura. he could see the deep layers when he focused his ki on his eyes. After the wave of cold a terrifying weight dropped upon the four friends shoulders slamming them to the floor. The aura was so heavy they were struggling to breath. Thaleus used all his strength just to look forward at a pair of ebony boots with blood red engravings etched all over them walking towards them. "Wh... Who are... you?" he managed to gasp out his lungs were on fire as it felt like his ribcage was going to collapse at any second. The boots stopped and whoever it was kneeled down and touched his head. The weight of that hand caused him to pass out immediately.
As soon as Thaleus passed out the rest of the bay was cleared of the overwhelming aura. Derek, Kip, and Alice all got to their feet and turned around noticing that Thaleus was now gone. "What the fuck? I'm gonna go get a teacher" Derek dashed off at breakneck speed. The other two were in shock trying to figure out what just happened and where they're friend went or if he was even still alive.
Thaleus continued to fall in an out of consciousness. he was staring towards a door and he heard bits and pieces of conversation in the moments he was lucid. The voices both raspy and coarse as if they hadn't been used in years. "We musn't let him fade to..."
"If the others find out they will..."
"He must grow before..... Time Invasion might not work... too weak to withstand just my aura.... think he can handle that?"
"Oh looks like he's coming around."
Thaleus groaned. Even though he knew he had no chance he still layered his ki to the best of his ability. his whole body screaming in protest knowing full well that he was held captive by two beings who possessed probably the strongest auras he would ever witness.
"What do you want with me?" his voice was taut with pain. he forced himself to look up from his position on the floor. he saw the man attached to the boots he noticed earlier. Well the hooded figure was hunched over and it's hands looked wrinkled and boney, he just assumed it was a man because of the voice. The cloak was dark as the abyss almost as if it could suck you in at any moment. the figure turned its head and looked at him. "We want you to.... survive."
Thaleus tried to push himself back up to his feet. his knees buckling like jengo blocks tumbling to the ground. one of the voices came and grabbed his shoulder effortlessly holding his weight until he refined his strength. Every muscle in Thaleus's body screamed danger, but there was nothing he could do about it. He was once again in the same predicament he was throughout school, weak and defenceless. His adrenaline was on overload. His heart pumping blood so fast that suddenly *Ding* *momentary shutdown* *Time Invasion beginning* "Good luck Thaleus" Dom sighed heavily already knowing that Thaleus could no longer hear his voice. The real journey was about to begin.
