"Who here knows the different beast tiers?" a small plump man with very large spectacles sitting upon a large nose was talking to the class. This was the librarian Mr. Rithe
A girl closer to the front had raised her hand.
"Yes Maddie?"
"The tiers are as follows basic, intermediate, advanced, king, emporor, super, demi-god, demon, god, and finally transcendant."
"Very good Maddie"
"Now who can tell me how many core ability types are known."
Surprisingly Derek raised his hand.
"Sir there would be 16 core abilities the rest are special class, support class, and uniques (unique is untransferrable through science or the gene pool.) The 16 core abilites are fire, water/Ice, lightning, earth, wind, gravity, mind control, telekenisis, transformation, beast control, flight, super speed, super strength, mind transferrance, techno control, and healing. However even if you don't have a fighting type core ability it doesn't mean you're weak. Once an ability is obtained your body undergoes changes making you stronger, faster, and able to withstand more damage in general."
"Very detailed Derek, its good to see students with their head screwed on right."
"Now can any of you tell me the importance of ki?"
This time Johnny answered.
"Ki is important in training your body and your mind. With more ki you create a stronger aura along with having more powerful attacks, being able to run faster and for a longer duration, as well as sustain little or no injury when hit by attacks that would normally incapacitate you without it. Ki cab also be transferred to your weapons and be infused to add more power to your abilities."
"Actually" Dom was explaining to Thaleus. "There's one more use for ki. You can infuse ki into your armor and weapons during the forging process and they will be considerably better than those without. However there is a limit to how much ki each tier can handle."
"Interesting" Thaleus thought smiling.
"Last question, can anyone tell me why it took humans so long to use their abilities when fighting against the Ragnor?"
This time Alice answered. "This is a complicated question. Our technology was so advanced that we never thought that an alien race could withstand our onslaughts. Humans didn't think it would be necessary to use abilities against the Ragnor originally. On top of this there was conflict from planet to planet at the time. We were so busy bickering amongst ourselves that we noticed the threat too late. This almost caused our downfall. The Ragnor reunited us once again."
"Very well spoken Alice. you missed one small detail though."
"Oh, what's that."
"You forgot that the Ragnor look almost identical to us. The only difference they hold is their serpent like eyes, the scales along their arms, legs, and neck, and the retractable wings on their backs." (These wings could morph back into their skin leaving no trace.) This is why the Ragnor were such a threat and why they were noticed so late. They could blend in with little effort. They studied humans, technology, and everything before making their move.
