Chapter 205 - A DAY IN THE LIFE OF KI

This was what a typical day of a Beta/Alpha's Dog/Killion, 22 years old, unmated male, white healing wolf looked like:

4AM Wake up for run in wolf form, because since he was naked anyway, he might as well. TMI Killion, but I took note that if I ever wanted to prank him, never ever to enter his room or pull off his blanket from now on.

4.45AM Start cooking breakfast for family. Prepare lunch boxes for Savy and me. Check phone for emails, schedules, etc while food is on stove.

5.20AM Eat Breakfast and clean up in kitchen. Start work on laptop. Reply emails.

6.30AM Start laundry. Clean up after rest of family has eaten breakfast and left. Mum helps. See what assistance Mum might need today. Check in with Harvey and Ben on mindlink to synchronise schedule.

7.15AM Change and report for Warrior Patrol Duty.

8.30AM Home. Shower.

9.00AM Make phone calls, update schedules and tasks lists. Send business reminders, follow up.

10.00AM Go to the pack house gym.

10.45AM Run errands if any. If not, clean the house, plan goddess' outfits, stock take around house, or prep ingredients for future meals.

11.30AM Prepare lunch

7.00PM Dinner with family

7.45PM Clean up after dinner. Wipe down dining table and kitchen counters.

8.30PM Declutter shared spaces. Prepare school bag, print outs, and uniform for goddess. Plan meals, update schedules and lists, clean sink.

9.45PM Downtime. Sometimes he goes out for another run before bedtime. Sometimes he goes to the packhouse gym if he hadn't (this body shape needed to be carefully sculpted, you know). Sometimes he drives out to town for drinks with the other warrior wolves he had befriended.

"How is your schedule even humanly possible?" I asked.

"I'm an adult werewolf." Killion reminded me, "Plus I'm a white wolf, I can speed up recovery when I sleep."

Another stupid way to use a white wolf's power if you asked me.

Even if you speed up physical healing, wouldn't your mind need more downtime than this?

"You need to give yourself time to dream." I told him.

"All my dreams are nightmares, goddess." He told me. Then he shrugged it off lightly, "It's a side effect of the bad things I did in my previous life."

I looked at him. How should I say this? What could I say? Sometimes the things that bind us are within ourselves.

But one day, I hope Ki will be free to dream again, and fall in love again, and be happy again.

For now, I understand, not quite with my mind, but with my heart, "You'll be okay, Ki." I told him. I was never the touchy feely type... not very Alpha. Until recently, I had not even hugged by my own parents for a long time. (I have issues too, you know).

He was sitting right beside him, so I bumped my forehead against his shoulder, "You can stay with me."

It was a perfectly normal wolf head nudge, even though we were in our human forms. Killion startled as if surprised by it, then he smiled, "Goddess, I will follow you till I die."

"Well, then I guess I should expect to have you around for a long time yet." I grinned at him.

Savy and mum were smiling too.

Mum quipped, "Well, if you ever change your mind, Ki. You're always welcome to stay with Alpha and me."

We laughed.

"Mum! Stop trying to poach my beta!" I joked back.

I guess this new normal life AK (After Ki) was here to stay for a while, which was nice. Very easy and comfortable type of nice.

Now if only the drilling would stop! Oh wait, no... That was my family's home being rebuilt. Sigh. If they stopped, wouldn't we be squashed in this apartment for longer? I mean it's all very comfortable here and all, but I noticed things are piled up on Savy's bed and the floors are getting creamed with Savy's mess.

I knew she had been trying to keep her stuff in her space, but the room wasn't that large. Also, I didn't have a desk and my books and files and bag are cramped on one dresser top. No easy feat. The pile grew bigger by the day, and it wasn't easy looking for any document in particular.

I kind of felt bad that Mate might show up anytime in my bed so Savy couldn't even change in her own room. And if Lizzy stayed over, I couldn't retreat to my own room either.

And I really missed the freedom of being able to just walk out and run without having to take a lift or meet anyone downstairs and being asked, "Going for a run?"

So the faster the drilling got done and our family home got built, the better! Keep on drilling!!!
