I wonder the bustling streets aimlessly. I watched my feet take steps across the dirt, my dusty canvas sneakers next to the bare or covered feet of passerby's. Pondering on what on what to do now.
The same questions kept repeating in my head. Why was it me? Why am I here? What do I even do?
Without realizing it I walk straight into a the wall without realising it. A soft yelp escapes my lips as I rub my now sore nose.
I stood in a deserted alley way. The sound of leaky sewage pipes and the sound of occasional clattering of metal. And the sound of crying. Also rustling leaves and...
Wait what?!
Crying!?
My head darts towards the moving trash bin.
Is it a rubbish monster!?
Wait it sounds like a child.
My eyes widen at the new found realization. My body moves spontaneously towards the metal object. Every cry broke my heart. I slowly peel the lid off. Revealing a skinny and malnourished child dressed only in rags. Eating food scraps that were probably spoiled. It smelt of spoiled milk.
At the site my heart broke. He looks so timid like a cub that needed the protection of a mother.
This is it!
My purpose....
To be a parent to all. A shoulder to lean on. Someone to give love to people.
A fire burned in my eyes, one of determination. I would do my very best!
My eyes trail to the frightened child. I realised I was just staring at him.
"Oh I'm so sorry child. You must be starving. C'mon let's get you out of here."
The timid child continued to stare at me quietly. Before mumbling.
"Are you my angel?"
It was a young adult who looked no older then 25. His soft curls of hair were the colour of starlight, framing his flawless face. Dressed in a midnight robe that contrasted gorgeously against the pale skin and silver locks of hair. It fell over his still-blossoming shoulders.
His Long, wavy white hair, so smooth and silky, almost as if it was tailored from gold fabric, seemed to act like white wings. They draped down his back, as if feathers rippling in the noon breeze. The man that walked in could have graced any billboard or magazine cover. His tall frame and slender body were like of an model. His blue eyes, like the sky, were calm and gentle.
He was handsome from the depth of his eyes to the gentle expressions of his voice
A melodious chuckle left his lips. His laughter was so free and pure, so childish despite his adult years.
"I am no angel but I will help you if you allow it."
----------
Quiet met us. I extended my hand out to him smiling reassuringly. I wouldn't mind waiting all day. He hesitantly took it. I help him out of the dirty bin. Already formulating a plan.
He'll need a bath definitely. New clothes, some food and other necessities.
Suddenly small arms wrapped around me. He clothes at my robes. He grips it tightly within his small balled up fist. I stroke his head affectionately
Whimpers escaped him as if he tried to stop himself from bursting into tears.
Around his shoulders was a dirty baby quilt that looked low quality. He was covered in mud and dressed in not much more than a rag. His face was a perfect picture of misery.
The child stood so still, unsure if is friend or foe. Long tangled unkept hair blows about his face, obscuring the layer of grime that is only broken by tear tracks. His cheekbones are more pronounced than they should ever be on one so young. I hear a low growl, the boy becomes smaller. He shrinks even smaller like a injured puppy.
"C'mon dear it's alright to cry. Let it all out."
I coo softly, rocking him side to side gently.
Wails escape him. I hum as he spills all of his worries. Listening intently to each word.
"It must have been so lonely and hard. C'mon how about we get you clean up and eat some food."
He nods timidly. Grasping my hand tightly. I chuckle at the gesture and lift him up as I walk back into the streets.
I turn to the quiet child smiling brightly.
"Okay little buddy what did the big flower say to the small flower?"
He looked at me confused. Before shaking his head signalling he didn't know.
"Hi bud."
I began to laugh at my own joke. He seem confused but also began giggling cutely.
Kawaii! So adorbs. I wish I could capture this moment.
"Tell me another one angel-sama."
"Okay. hmm."
I try to think of one from the top of my head. My eyes light up as I think of one while staring off to the hills at the side.
"Did you hear the one about the little mountain?"
"Uh no!?
" It's hill-arious!"
"That's so silly!"
The child roared in laughter. I smile as I ruffle his already bird nest like hair.
"Alright that's enough jokes for now. Now time to take a bath."
I booked a cheap in and asked for a tub of water.
The worker brought a metal tub in.
The bath tub was fashioned from tin and beaten into shape with a flat hammer. It was just big enough for a child to sit in and the water was never more than tepid.
There was a tiny bit of soap they gave us. It didn't even smell nice. Wait I should have a rubber duck and some bubble soap in y trusty bag. It is always a nightmare to get children to want to take a bath so I keep it handy dandy on me. Glad I brought it in my bag.
I lift the metal tub. It was quite heavy as it was made from metal and water was filled to the brim inside it.
I dipped my finger in to check the temperature. It was luke-warm. That's probably the best one can get.
"C'mon take off those clothes. Take a bath!"
He seemed reluctant and scared. I handed him the rubber duck in my pocket as I smile reassuringly.
"Please buddy. We can get something to eat afterwards. Here have some candy."
I dug in my pockets and took put a chewy candy.
"It's yummy. Please~"
He takes the candy and nods. He pops it into his mouth. His eyes lighting up like a light bulb. He slowly gets in.
I smile.
Success!
I begin to sud up his hair with the soap. He begins laughing as he plays with it. I smile at the adorable scene of him in a mess of bubbles. All the dirt began to stain the water brown.
I realized I had no towel or clothes for the little one!
"Bud I need to quickly ask the receptionist for some clothes and a towel okay?"
"He nods slowly, seeming reluctant."
"I'll be back in a flash."
I quickly dash out and make sure to lock the door before going down the flight of stairs in a haste.
I walk over to the receptionist.
"Excuse me mam but do you have a towel and a spare change of clothes?"
She scoffs.
"Why would I. We're a small business. Go get some of your own sir."
I sigh and quickly dash into the streets. I look at the small amount of cash in my hand.
"Only this much? I'll need a job soon or some source of income or we'll starve."
I wonder to one of the street markets and pick up a three simple set of outfits.
"That'll me 10 copper coins sir."
I hand her the money.
"Thank you mam."
"Do you have a son?"
"No. But I am caring for a child."
"Well alright. I can tell you children are quite the hassle but give em all your love youngster and that;ll be enough. Now off you go. Can't keep em waiting.
She smiles before sending me off.
With the new clothes in hand and a soft piece of fabric I dash back.
I open the door to see him sobbing. He dashes towards me. Completely soaked.
"I thought you left! Wah."
I wrap him in the makeshift towel and hug him.
"Of course not buddy. It took longer then I had expected since it was hard to find some clothes for you. Now let's get you fry and dressed before we head out."
He nods happily as he slips into his new clothes. I get the towel and ruffle his hair with it to dry it quicker. Wouldn't want him getting sick now.
He grabs my hand as we head out, a skip to his step. It was simply adorbs!
We sit down at a nearby dinner and I order a kids meal for him. I didn't order anything from myself since I needed to save the money.
The meal comes out and is placed in front of us. Plated on it was rabbit apples and omurice with a salad.
I grab a spoon and begin feeding him. The child was hopping in his seat. For each mouthful he opens wide, chews a little and swallows it down. Each time he gets the spoon of rice his eyes open a little wider and his eyebrows rise in surprise. It was so so cute! He drains the bowl and gestures for more. But realizes his action and shrinks.
He asked me for the plate meekly which I nodded. He stood up from his seat.
Holding the spoon to my mouth. I stared surprised.
Did he realize I wasn't eating?
I grabbed my heart which went doki doki at the adorable and considerate action.
He is literally an angel.
Wait....
I haven't asked for his name!
My goodness what is wrong with me.
I take the spoon into my mouth before thanking him. He blushes in embarrassment before getting another spoon for me. I shake my head gesturing for him to eat more. Suddenly my stomach grumbles. I blush in embarrassment.
He chuckles.
I laugh and beacon the waiter before requesting their cheapest meal.
They nod before bowing and leaving.
I turn my attention back to the obidient child.
"I still haven't asked for your name. I'm Asahina Muyuki."
"I-I'm name M-Minaki A-Ayashi."
"That's a wonderful name~"
"Thank you."
After eating we head out.
This is where it begins. My goal of raising this child.
We walk hand in hand as we headed back to the inn. I stared up at the sunset.
'Harem candidate 1 accomplished.'
The Bl Harem Pantry:
"I'm not hungr-"
*Loud growl is heard from Asahina
Older Minaki: Well I certainly am starving of your love~
*Licks lips hungrily
Asahina runs while holding his trusty fly swatter and pan.
"Stay back!"
