"You have no idea what an office worker is really?" Yuna asked.
"No, I have never heard of one." Elvin stated. "What is an office, I know what a worker is."
"Oh wow, okay." Yuna said. "So, an office is where agencies or organizations or businesses do all the necessary paperwork. You know the sorting and filing. My job was to maintain all the files to our top field agent. That man saved the world more times than I can count."
"He sounds impressive." Elvin said.
"He is." Yuna said. "He was the one the circle was trying to summon, but when I saw him there, I pushed him out of it. I got brought here instead of him. He would have saved this world in no time, that is just how he is. Instead you got stuck with me, just a useless office worker comic book nerd."
"Tell me Yuna." Elvin said. "You said you were trained, yes?"
"Yes." Yuna answered. "I was trained for twelve years to work for the agency. We were the best of the best."
"Tell me, is there any difference in the training you received than that man?" Elvin asked.
"No everyone in the agency received the same training." Yuna said. "But he was so much better. I never even went on a single mission. The missions they wanted me to go on were honey traps and I just straight up refused. I do not do that."
"Honey trap?" Elvin asked.
"It's where you seduce a man to either kill him or gain blackmail over him." Yuna explained. "I refuse to be treated as an object of men's desire. So, it is good that they made those types of missions optional. If your heart isn't in it there's no way you would be able to pull it off."
"I agree with the king." Elvin smiled. "I don't think the summoning spell made a mistake."
"Have you met me?" Yuna asked. "There's no way I am a hero. I am telling you that it is a mistake."
"You will understand more when we get to the guild." Elvin said. "Look we made it back to the Stampeding Mongoose."
"Right, I am going to go ask Peter for directions." Yuna said. "You just stay here and wait for me to come back out." Yuna then walked into the inn and addressed Peter. "Hey!"
"Oh, Hey there new blood." Peter said. "I am glad you are safe and sound. Miss Elvin gets a tad lost sometimes. By sometimes I mean every time, but hey you made it back."
"Right, you could have warned me." Yuna said. "Look do you have directions to the guild?"
"Yes, just go straight down the road, take no turns, and you will see it after about two minutes of walking." Peter explained.
"You're shitting me right." Yuna said. "I am going to kill that elf. I like her but she's dead to me."
"Don't be too hard on Miss Elvin, in a forest her sense of direction and amazing abilities are unparalleled by any other hero." Peter explained. "But here in the city, she doesn't do well at all."
"Fine." Yuna sighed. "I will let it go for now, but I am definitely not following her anywhere else in the city."
"That would be the smart choice." Peter said. "Give the guild master my regards."
"Oh, you know the guild master?" Yuna asked.
"We go way back." Peter explained. "He was the first summoned hero, our first great hope. Sadly, he failed, but he did set up the guild so that new summons would have steady work and is slowly organizing an army of heroes under his command."
"Sounds like an impressive guy." Yuna said.
"He is." Peter said. "When you meet him, you'll see for yourself just how impressive he is. I want you to remember one thing when that happens. I want you to remember that even he failed." Peter then went back to cleaning his cups. "Go on get." He shooed Yuna out of the inn.
Yuna exited the inn and met up with Elvin. "Let's go to the guild now, I know the way." Yuna said. "I honestly don't know how you got so lost. It is literally straight down the road."
"I am so sorry!" Elvin said, crying again. "Please don't hate me!" She pleaded.
"I don't hate you." Yuna said. "Just not letting you be the guide from now on."
After a short walk, the girls made it to the guild building. It was a massive structure of multiple stories. Easily the tallest building in the city. As the girls walked in, they were greeted by two girls behind the counter both of them were tall slender women with bunny ears. "Welcome to the guild!" One of them said while the other said "Welcome back Hero Third Class Elvin."
Yuna walked up to the counter. "Hello, my name is Yuna and I was just summoned here today."
The girl in front of her expression changed from a happy smile to a sorrowful look. She reached out and grabbed Yuna's hand. "I am so, so, sorry." She said. "We will try to make these as easy and quick as possible. I know you must be absolutely miserable right now."
Yuna did not know how to respond. She just said the first thing that popped into her mind. "Thank you." She said.
The bunny girl let go of Yuna's hand and bent down under the counter to grab something. Yuna could see her little bunny tail wagging as she happily looked. "Found it!" She yelled. The other bunny girl gave her a round of applause at her achievement. She then took the object that she had found and placed it on the counter in front of Yuna. "This device here lets us know what level you are, what class you are, and most importantly what your attributes are. This handy thing was invented by one of the summoned heroes and has never been wrong before, so you can trust the accuracy of its results. Just place both of your hands here and we will begin our test." She said as she pointed to an orb on top of the device.
