Sage sat in silence as Damien drove the duo to the building in which the tournament would take place. " Nervous? " Damien asked as he pulled into the parking lot "Yeah somewhat." Sage said steeling himself mentally Sage got out of the car and walked into the building which was set up like a MMA octagon. Looking around Sage saw the girl known as Beta with the leader of the wolves and a brown haired Witch with the unofficial leader of the Witches known as John. "Great now that everyone is here we will announce our first match up!" . John looks at a card then smiles knowingly " Beta versus Sage! " murmurs go through the crowd which began to fill up the building after the fighters had gotten there.
Sage nodded and stepped into the octagon facing Beta. "So Fenris you really don't remember " she said quietly as Beta looked at Sage. "Well then I'll beat the memories back into you." She said with determination . Sage got in a stance and shook his head " sorry but I'm not going to let the Nightwalkers down. " he said and flexed his fingers. Moving with incredible speed even faster than a werewolf or vampire he went to punch the girl who said she knew him. Surprised by his speed Beta barely caught his fist " since when we're you this fast puppy? " she asked Sage who seemed just as surprised " puppy? " he said confused before she flipped him which earned a cheer from the wolves. Growling a little Sage grabbed Beta and lifted her up like a cereal box. " what the fuck? " he muttered to himself before throwing Beta away.
Watching the fight John frowns at the speed and strength of "Sage" and was troubled by it so much he walked over to Damien. "What did you do Damien?" He asked nonchalantly "oh you know turned the boy into a vampire." Damien said with a smile. " What!? " John yelled then cleared his throat and talked quieter. "You know hybrids were outlawed over two hundred years ago , they're too unpredictable and too strong for you vamps and wolves.". Damien just kept smiling " Oh calm down he's harmless. ". "Winner! Sage of the Nightwalkers has won the first fight!." The two men upon hearing this looked over to see Sage standing over a unconscious Beta. Walking out of the octagon Damien smiled and patted Sage on the back " Wonderful my boy. " Sage smiles at his praise and nods "thank you." He says breathlessly. After a few more fights it is announced that Sage will be fighting the brown haired witch.
Walking into the octagon the witch smiled confidently " So you think you'll be able to withstand my flames. " he says as fire lit all around him. Sage moved at the witch " you talk too much" he said trying to rile him up as he dodged a fire blast. "Poor bloodsucker" the witch take pouted as he hit Sage with a fire blast. " unlucky for you I'm Ignis a powerful fire user" he said as he hit Sage with another fire blast. Crying out in pain as the fire hit him Sage groaned and looked up as he heard howling. Circling him was a large black wolf with yellow eyes "Accept this accept who you are Fenris" a voice said in his ear. "I don't know who I am and don't call me that " Sage muttered. "Oh but you do you just need to remember." The voice said as the wolf bit him. Upon getting bit all of the memories flooded back , his parents dying ,being taken in by The Children of The Moon, meeting Beta and Teren it all came back.
Standing up with a growl Fenris looked at the witch who's eyes widened. Fenris's hair had turned back to black though it was streaked with red and his eyes had turned yellowish orange. To put it simply he looked like the perfect combination of werewolf and vampire. Moving with incredible speed Fenris grabbed Ignis by the neck and held him up growing out his claws just enough to barely pierce Ignis's neck. "Seems like I can withstand your flames." Fenris said and slammed Ignis into the cage then into the floor knocking him out. He then turned into wolf form which was still large yet now just a little thinner with the mixed hair and eyes. Bursting through the octagon cage Fenris lept onto a surprised Damien and ripped out his throat before turning back into human form his eyes glowing and a growl of anger bursting from his throat.
Screams echoed from the Nighwalkers both of terror and it rage. Fenris then closed the distance between him and Alpha who was a bit more prepared after seeing his friends throat ripped out. Blocking Fenris Alpha went to transform before he felt a hand through his chest. Looking down Alpha saw Fenris looking back up at him. "I can't believe you knew , you knew yet you let the lie continue. " Fenris said tears on the corner of his eyes "I'm sorry but I couldn't let that go." . Fenris then took out his hand and looked at Beta. "Hey Beta I remember now." He said with a sad smile before fleeing the building. " Puppy" Beta whispered as Fenris left and began to cry.
Two years went by after the tournament incident and no one could find Fenris. Eventually thirteen years went by and people just figured him a boogeyman. The feud between the wolves and the vamps stayed with the new leaders being Beta for the wolves and Bella for the vamps. Life went on and nothing changed except a boy who lost his parents and was thrust into a cruel world.
