Chapter 88 - Chapter 88 Do you think you have a choice

"What's going on here?"

Obi asks coming from inside the carriage, only to see Pai on her knee holding her hand on her ears, Both Faki and Rito on the floor bowing down and Raga with a nervous smile on his face stareing in front of him.

"What's wrong why did you stop th-"

As Obi spoke to them, instantly forming a mass shivering fear affliction that he had never felt before, froze his body in place. It was definitely different than Lieg's aura which had a profound impact in a commanding presence but this was not like that at all, it was pure primal instinct predator to prey and insatiable hunger. What was in front of them was a ant yes, but not your average Redsand ghost ant no as far from it as they were to the Holy gate, has they were from the grace of God luck.

They would have definitely been luck forsaken for the journey that was intended to be a blessing for themselves could turn to a tragedy in an instant, it's head and thorax pitch black, iron armored plated exoskeleton, bright glowing crimson red eyes, black long sickle like antenna, 16 sharp edged claw like fingers, four pairs of plated glass like translucent arms going up to the shoulders, a bright red node hidden under abdominal plates as well as glowing inside it's body visible through the gaps along it's body, and translucent plated legs with a almost reaper shaped scythe along it's leg, ankle to it's eight toes. Manabeast class comes in many different forms and sizes, groups, and types but their's always a eerie exception to this. As what was in Raga's way, just happened to be a sub monster one in a thousand change in his lifetime to see; an imperfect manabeast to monster class an evolved Redsand ghost ant: one of the Queen's rooks a Redsand Phantom Reaper Ant.

It folded the middle arms perfectly sitting on a ghost ant thorax as a seat slowly crawling in front of them back and forth between the pathway,

"Everything will be fine, just do wat I say" Raga muttered to the rest as he continued to inhale and expanded his body not taking his eyes off the phantom ant.

"Rito Navir, Faki Uyo, Obi don't move at all no matter what happens next" Raga asked whispered to them,

"Are you able to speak freely?!" He shouted the ghost ant stopped,

And it stared while scratching its head with its right claws "Keeh... food… kee… give… for… Queen" it spoke. Raga was suprise and relief from some of his worries,

(That's it? Huh, I wasn't expecting us to be anything but unlucky. But this is doable).

"Mmhhwwmmhhwwmm, the lamb's sacrifice his daily flesh, I'll save their soul while my lady rest, I call to thy, let blood riddled the fake, to protect the faith mmhhwwmmhhwwmmo"

An incomprehensible voice hymns, But as Raga gave a sigh of relief,

"He, he, ha you lowly bug thinks can just take from us, my God smite you and your wretched queen dead" proclaimed Elika inside the carriage at the phantom ant.

(Huuuuuuhhhhh?)

Thought Raga as he stare at the ant again, as it was visibly darkened in it's annoyed bewilderment.

"Queen… wre…tched… smite …to kils… to kill… Queen?" Antennas and gaps between it's exoskeleton started to spark white electricity, as it slowly began clawing his head with the same arm as before.

"Away with you monster, be gone from my sight" shouted a irritated villager in the mix;

"Raga defended us from the worse, we will not let a ant get in our way now" another said,

(Huuuuuuhhhhh! Shut the hell up... you idiots)

Raga internal screamed as the villagers started to solidify their belief by even praying loudly as to scare the ant.

"You idiots" Obi said turning,

"No Unexpected movement, stay perfectly still if you want to stay alive; do not take another step child" Raga begged with cold sweat flowing from his body.

Elika was whispering while everyone else was loud as if in a trance, her eyes rolled over with Obi stared at her confusing the villagers near her thinking she's chanting a spell.

"If we, can scare it away we'll be fine show it our numbers" whispered Elika with her head held down, her body started to glow in a white aura that seems to spread across the room. As the villagers inside slowly began opening up the weapon boxes and each began arming themselves for battle, Raga was not able to move his hands and head from the front of the carriage as the villagers inside were getting ready to bursts out to attack the monster eyes glowing burning fury of hope and pride; Faki who was bowing on the ground, tried to stop them from reaching the opening of the carriage went.

The self clawing from the phantom ant was getting louder and louder till a loud

(Sfx Crack!)

"Th…e Queen… you insulted… Sin!" The ant spoke but it was not the same as breaking the words as before it was almost more fluently.

"Elika, Elika, Elika!" Obi called out to her, shaking her body back and forth.

"Huh?" She replied with the glow leaving her body, "What are you doing, what's the plan? Obi asked.

After cracking his exoskeleton armored head across the eye, it spoke clearly "IT'S A HEAVY SIN … TO INSULT THE QUEEN".

As Elika looked at Obi completely confused "What plan?… what was I… doing, just now",

Obi looked at her in shock and said "Huh?". "EVERYONE GET DOWN NOW!!!!" RAGA SHOUTED while grabbing Rito and Pai arm pulling them down, while turning to grab at Faki's hand. The area was violently cloaked in black and white like a sketch on a canvas as the phantom ant.

"KIYEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!!", Made a deafening screech, and a single motion swoosh of his claw.

(Sfx inaudible)

Within those brief seconds of numbing silent, missing from view Raga couldn't see his hand that he had stretched out to reach… but wait what was he reaching for as the upper section of Faki's body was gone as was some of the villagers inside the carriage all had their upper body removed without a trace… but what really got Raga's mind

wondering was these words (Huh?… where the carriage's top half) As the carriage's top half was swipe off clean down to the wooden fibers, not a single splinter remain.
