Huge sticks that resembles small logs, giant plants and greenery I had never seen before and trees I could not see the end to. I squinted one of my eyes and had the other wide open.

No, never mind my surrounding..my hands are covered in fur! Is..that my tail? Wait, am I tiny or is this place just for giants?! What the Fuu**!
I moved my feet..I mean paws and started to run on four legs to find water where I could see my reflection. My heartbeat was beating fast.. I seem to to be a sort of mammal, but something tells me I am really tiny..it's just my imagination right? ...
After running around for several minutes, I looked at my claws and then at the giant trees. I took a deep breath to calm down to analyze the situation.
Maybe..just maybe I can climb this, from the looks of it, my agility and my claws are above the abilities of a cats, I have to believe in this little life form I have reincarnated in. There's no way all this little body has weak potential after all the effort I put..
As I walked up to the tree, which looked as big as a certain Tokyo tower, I embraced myself for something I wouldn't have done as a human.
I stuck my claws in the tree, gripped it strongly with my fingers and claws and tried to pull back, to see if it could support my weight. After confirming that I could somehow manage to not fall from this tree, I stuck my legs..I mean my other paws and began to climb upward.
This is..relatively easy, I can manage! "Squeak!"
Right...
Can I not celebrate in peace..? I could feel this was a beginning of a lot of heart rendering moments..

At the top of the tree, which resembled a brown, giant pine tree, I could see the vast forest that I was in. It was quite different from any forest I had seen on myself but it was at most, just more tropic and bigger. Less than a kilometer of distance there was a small pond which I could head to.
I quickly climbed down facing upward, I feel like I could climb down facing the ground but I don't think I have the guts for that yet..
A few minutes later, I arrived at a not so clear still pond. I gulped, which is something I almost never did. I got ready to approach the water.
Small, pointy ears. Big dark eyes. A small, cute nose. Slightly thick legs. A furry tail..
What..I can't believe the supreme body, the greater entity I always wanted to be was..this. I saw a cute animal face in shock and despair for the first time..

Come on! A squirrel?! Out of all the creatures in the universe this is the one with the greatest potential?? Heavens! Why? "Sque-.."
The more I looked, the less I understood, I sacrificed my everything to start all over in the greatest body I could possibly reincarnate into. How come this little creature is the result of that?
Mom..why did I end up like this?

I sighed as I looked at the sky. There's no use regretting anything now. I have to move on forward, there's no way I can't one day stand at the top of the world!
Grumble~
I soon noticed my stomach make a cute little grumble noice, and realized the danger of the situation was in. What do squirrels even eat? Still, for a squirrel, I feel like I'm a bit bigger and my claws are sharper..
Nuts. I believe squirrels love nuts..are they herbivores? No that can't be, they are part of the rodent family which should be able to eat insects and stuff. Wait....
I'll just eat what I want, but first I should find nuts!
Before leaving the place, I looked at myself on the pond once again, and stayed there pondering for a while.
Am I considered handsome? It wouldn't be funny if I was ugly..like some Sid from a certain ice age movie.
