"Anyway, if you want a playmate, I'm here," She smiled.
I turned my head toward her and she is smiling at me. Her smile was contagious that it made me smile as well.
Since then, whenever it's Sunday, we always meet at church to hear the mass. After the mass while our parents are busy chattering with others. Stacey and I would go at the back of the church in the fountain. Doing random kid's stuff, like chasing each other. But Nadine's face never left my mind. One day, while me and Stacey was hanging around the fountain, a priest named Father Robert suddenly came and asked us why we always go there, and looks like were waiting for something or someone. I told him that I am waiting for Nadine.
"Nadine?" He furrowed.
"Do you know her Father?" I asked earnestly.
He look at me so deeply and asked.
"Have you seen her?"
"Yes, I saw her, but only once, but since I saw her, she never let out of my mind, I don't know why, where is she?" I asked interestedly.
Father Robert pondered and he didn't answer me right away.
"Father are you okay? Do you know where she is?" I asking him again. Then Stacey chimed in.
"Harper is always looking and waiting for her, I'm also curious, I want to see her too!" Stacey said.
Then Father Robert spoke.
"How did you meet her?" He asked me curiously.
"I saw her tossing a coins in the fountain, I approached her and asked her name,"
"Did she tell something?"
"No father, she didn't talked much, she only told me that she was going away and didn't know when she will return, I told her to stay in the neighborhood because I want her to be my friend, she said she will try." I shrugged. "I still want to talk to her but my mom called me, I thought I will see her again, but she already left."
"Really?"
"Yes father,"
"I can't believe that she showed up to you,"
"Father please tell me who she is, and where she lives?" I asked eagerly, then he look at me so deeply and said.
"Seven Days of Darkness is going to happen!"
