I leaned against the town clock as I fidgeted with the hem of my shirt. I wonder why I had suggested going back home before meeting up again if I was going to be this nervous.
I had never known that it was this nerve wrecking waiting for someone you love to show... I wonder whether I look good?
I took another look around the area before briefly taking out my cellphone to check my reflection. I primped myself, styling my hair again as I checked the time again, wondering if I was too early. Before I had much time to stuff my phone back into my pocket, my view was obstructed by a bouquet of flowers.
It took a few seconds for my mind to process as I smelt the fragrant smell of the flowers and glanced up to see who was offering them. My eyes met with beautiful jade green orbs and a confident smile as I lowered my gaze to view the bouquet of roses extended towards me.
D-Doyle! This... So embarrassing...
