Yes it's homecoming night my mom dropped me off at Emily house. she always throws a party for us before homecoming and they all brought their dates with them but I am the only one who has no date. And that sucks but I don't need a man. "Hey Jasmine your here." yelled Emily
"Yes Emily I am here where else would I go."
I walked in to see that Emily, Jordan, and Janeea had their dates sitting right next to them on the couch. Janeea looked at me and nodded at me to come to the other room. Jordan, Emily, and I went into the other room to talk. "What's up Janeea you look upset. you can tell us." Emily said
" I feel bad that Jasmine doesn't have a date and we all know that Darnell was going to ask you to homecoming, but he punk'd out like a little bitch and that was mean of him to do that to you." Janeea said looking at me. "Girl I don't need a date. Janeea don't worry about me you guys go and have some fun with the boys okay."
We left Emily's house and got to the school and all eyes were on us. At least I think they were on us. Oh no they're all looking at me because they realize that someone wasn't standing next to me. Darnell was looking at me and I was looking at him. He smiled at me and I looked away. I just walked away to the dance floor to dance with my girls. And I was having the time of my life until a slow song came on.
I went to go sit at the table where our stuff was, while my friends dance with their dates.
I was just sitting their until someone came up behind me and tap me on my shoulder I turned to look at the person and I see Darnell, he asked me "Can I have this dance?" And I responded angrily "Sure." We walked over to the dance floor. All eyes were on us.
"Jasmine, I'm so sorry that I didn't ask you to go to homecoming with me I just didn't know how to ask you out."
"Well you could've asked my friends how should you ask me." So me and Darnell was dancing all night with each other. it was time to go and my sister was coming to get me, but she is late like always. I wasn't by myself Darnell stayed with me and then I got a text from Jenn that said, " I can't come and get you. I'm stuck in traffic so sorry." I told Darnell I had no ride so he told me that he can give me a ride to my house.
So Darnell was being a gentleman by giving me a ride home so I text my sister and told her not to worry I have a ride. Darnell and I were playing twenty questions we were going back and forth with each other and when I look up I was home. He gets out of the car and walks me to the door. We said goodnight to each other and I kissed him on his lips and said bye and walked in the house.
When I walked into the house and see my mom and sister on the couch waiting for me to come in.
"Hey mom, Jenn what's up." I said smiling from ear to ear
"Nothing much how was that kiss you laid on that boy." I gave my mom the emoji face😱.
"You saw that mom. I didn't mean for you to see that. Are you mad at me?" she looked at me and started screaming in joy." YOU HAD YOUR FIRST KISS OMG!!!!!!! I am so happy, so what is his name?"
"His name is Darnell and he is a really good kisser , well I am going to bed I see you guys in the morning." as I walk up the stairs.
