The walk home was slower than normal Katie was doing her best but between the fact that she was sore and stiff partly from not really moving much for days. She was trying to contend with the blanket and the wind wanting to lift it showing off her assets from behind she was never so glad to get indoors and out of the wind.
Anna and the kids came running up to her for a hug and then backed off from the smell the children were in tears from the swelling and bruising that was on her face. Katie asked, "May I please get a bath?"
Anna said, "I'll help you, dear."
Tom said, "We will try and find you something to snack on. Come on kids let's go see what we can find." The children wiped their eyes and followed him into the kitchen.
