"We are terribly sorry for the inconvenience, we have to move the Tournament next week due to the problem that our fellow members of the Revolutionary Army suffers from the Northwest. The report prior to this matter will be uploaded at the Arena after a minute, we thank you for your consideration." a woman's voice echoed throughout the base, almost all of the people remain standing while the others were a bit of disappointed, and that includes Dante who has been drowning after the announcement.
"Seriously...?" he sighed while eating his cup noodles.
"Atleast we still have a lot of time to prepare." Marco stated while sipping his chocolate milk.
"I agree to Marco cause I, Flavio, has been feeling nervous. Like dude, I suck at MMOJRPG." Flavio complained while eating a banana.
"Anyways, where is Mister D..?" Marco asked before gazing at Dante, "I heard that he has been trying to teach you some close combat fighting stuff.." he added while stirring his drink.
"Oh him? He said he will stay at the Infirmary with Salvatore.." Dante answered, "And yes, since I suck at fighting using my fists, he is trying to teach me just in case that someone will attack me from behind." he looked at Marco.
"I wonder if you will use what have you learned if I will try to bed you." Marco pondered as he sipped his coffee.
"Aren't you and Delta dating?" Flavio asked while grinning. Marco suddenly choked on his drink.
"What..? No." Marco glanced at Flavio.
"What no?! You two has been sweet to each other!" Flavio exclaimed before standing up from his seat.
"Dude, you've got the wrong idea. She's only treating me like a little brother. She's definitely 2 years older than me, that's why." Marco explained.
"Aww men..." Flavio frowned as he sat on the chair again.
"I thought you are into older girls? Or perhaps, traps..." Dante shrugged his shoulders.
"W-well.. yeah, but brethren, just as what I've said, she's only treating me like a little brother." Marco deadpanned.
"Are you just gonna let that stupid age gap end your feelings for her?" Flavio tilted his head.
"Pffft! What feelings? I'm only treating her as a friend or a senior.." Marco bursted into laughter while sweating.
"Are you lying to us?" Dante glanced at Marco.
"What? No, how could I?" Marco laughed harder.
"You are overreacting. Stop man, just tell us the truth!" Flavio grabbed Marco's shoulders and shook him.
Marco calmed down and stopped laughing. His face softened as he looked down, his ears turned red before he could speak, "Okay okay, you got me."
"We've been observing you two Marco, the way you look at her, it's different. Tell us, what made you fall for her?" Dante muttered while his face is brimming with excitement.
"Uhh..well...long story.." Marco averted his gaze away.
"Then tell us.." Flavio grinned, Marco only sighed before he is going to tell the story.
"It was like, years ago.. Piero invited me to enter the Underworld, we will watch people gamble and also, we will pickpocket citizens." he started while stirring his drink.
"Seriously, we were able to went inside cause at that moment, we were already a member of the La Nostra Pace. We looked around and started pickpocketing until I was lost. I can't find Piero at that time, so I accidentally joined a game there. I bet all of the money I pickpocketed and naive me lost. I gambled again and again just to get the money back but I lost many times." he sipped his coffee, both Dante and Flavio has been feeling bored.
"A girl wearing a black hoodie and a red skirt stood beside me, she had a huge unnerving grin on her face that made the other players intimidated. She stated that she will gamble her life in exchange for the money I pickpocketed. My words were lost and she began without a single sweat nor fear can be seen on her face." Marco unconsciously smiled while recalling what had happened years ago.
"She won and saved my arse. At that moment, I knew she was an angel. I never got her name but her face and smile was plastered on my memory." he looked at the two before deadpanning, "What? I know it's boring."
"So you've known each other since then, I see I see..." Flavio nodded repeatedly.
"Does Delta remember any of this?" Dante asked.
"Sadly no, that was actually before she joined the Mafia. After Fausta's death, her memories started shambling cause of the trauma she endured." Marco answered.
"Flavio and you are in the same shoes then." Dante laughed at them.
"How so?" Marco was confused.
"I've known Dorotea since childhood, you see.. cause of the trauma, she lost her memories and some sh*ts probably happened." Flavio explained in a short way.
"Ohhh! That's why you are simping on her!" Marco finally realized why is Flavio simping on Dorotea.
"Soeaking of Dorotea... Aren't you guys missing Sardinia?" Dante looked down.
"Many things had happened. I wanna see the cafe again." Marco sighed.
"I wonder how is Dorotea and the others..." Flavio suddenly felt sad.
"After this, let's cause chaos in the cafe again." Dante smiled at them.
Meanwhile, Salvatore stared at the ceiling while recalling what Emilio did to him.
'So.. all my life.. I've been living on a lie..' he thought to himself.
'I guess it can't be help..' he thought again.
"Welcome back, brethren..." Rosamaria smiled genuinely at Salvatore.
"Delta.." Salvatore spoke.
"I'm glad you are awake.." she sat on the chair.
"Did we lost?"
"Yes.. worry not, we still have one more chance.." Rosamaria stated.
Mister D was about to enter the room but he didn't just to give the two some privacy. He slowly walked away from the Infirmary and ended up in the balcony where he saw Wilhevit standing while leaning on the railings.
"So..uh.. hi?" Mister D greeted as soon as he stood beside the damsel in distress.
"Pleasantries.." she responded.
They went silent and the ambience started to get awkward. They only stood there and watched the Northern Star, Polaris.
"I remember my daughter... Polaris." Mister D muttered.
"I am guessing Polaris will also be my daughter." Wilhevit stated.
"You can change your fate if you want." Mister D sarcastically suggested.
"Too bad we can't." Wilhevit smiled underneath her breathe.
