As Thorne locked Tiana, Advaith, and Kael in the Key Chamber, the guards exchanged bewildered, sidelong glances, their faces etched with confusion.
"Did you just put them in the Key Chamber?" one guard ventured, his voice trembling.
Thorne's serene expression remained unwavering. The guards' confusion deepened.
"But, sir...that's where the Shadow Key is hidden," another guard pointed out.
Thorne's eyes gleamed with an otherworldly intensity. He raised a hand to his temple.
Thorne's gaze drifted into the distance. "This has never occurred to me before," Thorne murmured. A hint of intrigue laced his voice. "Something about him triggers me."
Thorne's eyes narrowed "My guts told me to let him go. He's here for a reason." Thorne's brow furrowed "Although it was very easy to read his mind...I read something else as well."
Thorne's pause hung in the air "It was from his destiny."
