Chapter 1 - A heart-stopping start

A streak of lightning is seen all around you. The lights in the room flicker. On and off almost as if in a horror movie or story. Through the occasional glimpses of darkness, you can make out where you are, the back room of a building. The carpet is a dark grey and smells of dirt and mildew. You have a feeling that back in the day, the carpet would have been white and inviting, now, not so much. The lights continue to go on and off, to be honest, you find it more annoying than anything. You can tell your back is against the wall and that this place is old, you can feel the dust in the air. The lights turn back on and go back off. You get a glips at filing cabinets, lots and lots of filing cabinets.

You start to feel your way forward in the dark, grabbing the filing cabinet next to you, you make your way, still holding onto the cabinets as you make your way down what feels like a never-ending hallway. You make it to the end of that cabinet as you do so the lights come back on and reveal a four-way split. All of them are walls of filing cabinets, corridors of filing cabinets. The first thing you notice is there are no walls the way you came from, no walls in sight. How can that be, you only took about 20 steps, and now the wall was nowhere to be seen all that you could see down each of the four paths have you guessed it, filing cabinets.

The cabinets were an ugly green that matched the carpet perfect. The cabinets were about 20 feet tall when you look at the tops. The ceiling only seemed to be nine feet above you. You decide the best thing to do was to keep moving.

You can't tell any difference between any of the four chooses. The longer you look at them, you forget which way you came. The lights start to flicker and then go out again. You once again feel your way down this pitch-black corridor, if you could call it that. This place seemed huge, no end in sight, and only one way to go, forward.

The lights flicker back on. Now that you can see again, you start to pick up speed. I must run into something distinct to give me a clue to where I am going, more importantly, a way out.

As you run down this never-ending corridor, there is no end in sight when the lights start to flicker, off, on then off. Out of nowhere, the cabinets have split into two pathes, one going left and the other going right. Both of them seem endless. On the right, you can hear something more than just the flickering of the lights. There is a faint talking of mabby a whisper, depends on how far away they are.

The voice, although quiet, sounded calming. There was nothing else to do but start to make your way down the right path.

Almost the instant you start walking down, the path to your right the lights go out. You don't even hesitate. You keep going. You pick up speed as you go forward until you are running.

The lights come back on. They are bright, no yellow tint like before. A Good one hundred feet away from you is a person, you can make out there long white coat, there jet black hair that goes down to there back. They are quietly reading a file from one of the cabinets and occasionally let out a little laugh.

You continue to go forward slowly, even though the voice is calming and gentle now that you see who is making it is not as comforting, she looked harmless something felt weird about her. She was a good 30 feet away. She still had not noticed you. That is when you realize something. The whole time you have been walking to her, she had not moved. Her chest was not moving. She was not breathing.

The lights shut off. You are in complete darkness for the first time since you heard it, the voice of the women had stopped.

The lights shoot back on, she is now right in front of you giving you a much clearer view, The person in front of you had an almost cartoonish hourglass figure and had a black dress under her doctor's jacket that went all the way down to the floor. She was wearing black pointed heals that you could see peeking out from under her coat. She had a bright red lip that contrasted her skin, so pale it almost seemed to blend into her white coat. Her jet black hair was a shoulder-length bob that had a messy bun in the back. She also had on black cats eyeglasses.

"Well, hello, my spooky spicy specimen. What a treat, what a treat, or is it a trick, of course not I am a doctor I would never lie to you." This woman starts to talk to you lick she knows you.

"For all are first-time watchers out there, I am your Doc with the locks. The ghoul who ante no fool, Dr. Lovecraft." As she is talking, you can't take your eyes off her, mabby for her nieve charm or something else.

"Today, I have got a real tale for you. A patient file so dreadful and cruel that you would want to spend the rest of all eternity down here with me, although some of your perverts would like that." She is making flirty faces at you, only fueling your confusion you try to talk to her but can't. You try to move and cant your frozen in place.

"We are reading a tale so cruel it left me breathless. Yes, this tale is close to my heart. Why you might ask, Cause its about mine..." Dr. Lovecraft undoes her jacket and reveals a giant hole in her chest where her heart should be. You can see straight threw.

"That is right, little specimen this is my file and how I ended up being so..." She quickly glances down to her chest and buttons up her jacket. "So lucky to end up down here with all you lovely focus watching from home." You have no idea what she is talking, about then you notice you are holding an old TV camera. You think about it and remember you have been holding it this whole time.

"This is my story all about my love life. You get to hear all about it once welcome back from the brake, So don't go flat lining on me, okay." As Dr.Lovecraft flashes a smile, you hear a loud noise from the air around you, a buzzer followed by someone right behind you yelling cut. You glace behind you, no one there. The lights go off you try to move, you cant. What have you gotten yourself in too?
