Previously:
"Kitty?..." I called her.
I waited for her to answer, but to my disappointment, I received nothing.
I loosened my embrace to her and I saw that her eyes are now closed.
My heart aches at the sight of her face.
Dried tears are all over her face. The marks of redness on her eyes and nose says just how long has she been crying.
I gulped as I was trying to get rid of the lump on my throat.
"Why..." I've been holding back my tears.
"Why does this need to happen to you?..." I mumbled.
"If you're going to cry, then cry."
I looked behind me and saw Max.
"I didn't let Earl get near here because he might have just cry all day. It didn't really slip on my mind that you would be the same." She was leaning on the door frame.
I wiped the tears on my cheeks.
I stayed silent and stared at the person in my embrace.
I wiped the single tear running on her cheeks.
