"Did you gain weight?"
I stared at my older Dean in annoyance,"Why are you here?" I asked and he smiled brightly before letting himself in. I closed the door tiredly. Why would someone come visit anyone at 9:30 in the morning?"I just came to share the big news, apparently I've found a permanent fling." He said and crossed one leg over the other. He wore a long black coat with a matching turtle neck.
"A permanent fling?"
"A wife."
I widened my eyes and he laughed at my reaction."When did this happen? Does mom know?" I said as I quickly went to sit with him on the couch."No she doesn't, neither does dad, but now all of you idiots know so there's that." He said and shrugged."Well what's she like?" I said and he looked at the ceiling to think.
"Well, she's got bright blonde hair, nice waist, she's a little--a lot on the muscular side, she has an amazing smile, and 17 tattoos in total." He smiled the whole time as he described her."How did you two even meet?" I made a face that showed that I did not believe him one bit, this guy was 39 years old and he found a wife just now?"We met in Paris, I was on a business trip and she was this guy's body guard. I had seen her at a club and the rest is history." I squinted my eyes at him.
There's no way.
There's no way.
"Are really going to marry her?" He looked at me as if I stated the obvious,"Of course I am, a jewel like her just can't be let loose like that." He said proudly and stood up from the couch."Where are you going?"
"I'm going to tell mom the great news." He said and was out the door as quickly as he came. Give mom the great news? More like a heart attack. There was no way mom was gonna take that lightly, especially if she hasn't even met the woman before. I decided to get ready for the day as I was going out with Riley, she wanted to go Christmas shopping, I also took this opportunity to see what she's interested in.
I waited in front of her house and waved to her dad who still eyed me like I was a walking piece of dirt."I have so many things I want to buy, I think my cousins would appreciate that I even took the time to buy gifts for them." I laughed nervously,"Yeah, not my family." I said as we walked to my car.
"Why's that, do you guys not buy gifts for each other?" I got into the driver's seat and made my self comfortable as I started the engine,"Well, we were always around each other, and we fought a lot when we were younger. So I guess it's normal to not receive one from each other." I said maybe a little too calmly and I glanced at Riley to see she had wide eyes.
"That is so weird to me, my family's the complete opposite." She said in amazement and I laughed slightly,"Is it really that strange?" I asked and she looked at me as if I was crazy."Well I think so." She said, still in a daze. I laughed again like it was the funniest thing. We arrived to our destination after a long listening party of nostalgia. We mostly just listened to things that gave us nostalgia.
The streets were decorated with Christmas lights. It looked like Christmas threw up on it, but despite that Riley was still all smiley. She lead me towards various clothing stores and gift shops. I'm pretty sure she bought something out of every store."How many cousins do you have again?" I asked as I was now carrying over ten bags. She shrugged her shoulders,"I'm not sure I never counted."
I stared at her wide eyed,"Aren't you worried that you over bought?" I said as I watched her skim through a rack of clothes."Never, because I know that I have more than ten." She said a little too proud. Soon it was getting dark outside and I still didn't find anything that she liked. We passed a jewelry store a couple times, but she never took a glance. She did glance a lot at a shop where you could buy origami's,but she never went in or even looked at me to give an obvious hint.
By the time she had finished shopping I was pretty sure I was carrying over 20 bags, I'm not sure how I managed to carry that many.
Riley and I decided to stop at a donut shop, because she'd been craving a chocolate sprinkled donut since she woke up this morning. We sat down in the shop with our donuts and I watched as she happily ate hers."Should I give you a donut for Christmas?" I said as I watched her with amusement. She laughed slightly and shook her head,"You don't really have to get me anything, I'm just happy that I get to even spend Christmas with you."
"Although that is very sweet of you I'm still going to get you something." She laughed again and glanced out the window."The greatest gift you've given me is getting me away from Seven." She said as she looked like she was recalling horrible memories."How long were you with him?" I asked and she looked surprised of my question.
"Five years."
This time when she talked about him she didn't look like she felt bad, she didn't even show any signs of sadness. I was glad I was able to do even do that for her, I'm happy that she's happy.
