Waking up was easy, getting changed into my clothes was another thing. I was SORE. It happened to be that with last night's challenge, we probably actually went the full 2 hours. Not like it wasn't bad or anything-- at least for today's mission I wouldn't really be acting on how slaves usually act right after a beating. Looking in the mirror, I noticed my eyes were puffy and swollen.
"So, you finally woke up?"
I looked over to find Lucas still changing by his bed. He was moving slower than I had remembered, so I kind of just assumed that he was sore as well.
"Dude-- I'm so sore from last night… like holy shit."
Turning around to look at him, I chuckled at his face seeing that he really felt it too.
"Yeah, 'Dude.' I wasn't quite expecting you to actually go the full 2 hours when you said it. I thought most guys quit after 4 rounds--"
"Well… I'm different. And-- it's your fault anyways. You kept making all these cute expressions…"
He blushed and turned back around when he said that. Once again, he made me chuckle. I wasn't too sure exactly how sore he was, but he better at least have some good acting skills. Last I checked, the slave owner should always appear to be in good health.
After we both got done, Lucas escorted me to Erik's office. It was almost like deja vu-- he was seated at his desk like when I had been brought here, jacking off for an unknown reason.
"-cough-"
"Ah! Sorry about that once again. Just trying to… you know… clear the system--"
"Get to the point, Erik."
"Yeah. Okay, fine. Anyways-- today as you know is your mission day. Yes, we had you wake up at like 4-- but it's all in good favor. We've got some makeup artists over in the parlor, and quite a few props for you to bring. Lucas, because you are skinny, we'll be placing a thicker bullet proof vest over you. It's got some extra padding to make you look… more full. For you, Laura… you'll be wearing a thinner layer. We've got some rusted- over chains and neck braces over in the library you can look through. Make sure they fit, because you'll be wearing them all day."
I nodded and started to make my way over to the library while Lucas headed over to the parlor. Fast forwards an hour, and we rotated so I could get my makeup done. As I opened my eyes, it was like I was staring at someone completely different. My face looked to be swollen and bruised. They even did bruising around my wrists and ankles, along with some dry blood on my scalp. When Lucas looked at me, his first expression was pure worry. It quickly turned to reassurance because he'd just remembered that I was wearing just a bit of makeup.
"So, are you ready for this mission?"
"Mn. Not quite sure if we have enough people at this point to create a truly effective plan B. We already are running short- staffed on the main one— luckily a few people volunteered to help out."
After we'd gotten to see each other, Erik came out along with Keeneth and Kira. We were then escorted out of the building and straight into a large white truck.
"This will be our first vehicle. The second vehicle will not be in the same place as the first vehicle due to suspicion as well as the increased surveillance. It's the same make and model, but with a STATE licence plate as well as a blue background. The color of the car's body is also going to be black."
Erik got into the front of the driver's seat and started the engine with a roar. The only time I had actually been inside of any car was the time they transported me and when we did practice runs in the Function House. Lucas and I were seated in the back along with Kira and Keeneth. Both of them were dressed with black kevlar and holding small semi- auto rifles. Kira had what looked to be a gun case.
"Hey Kira— what's in the case there?"
Lucas had asked the question for me. She bent down to undo the latches, revealing the inside contents.
"It's my personal sniper rifle. I have it disassembled because it's just slightly bigger than me. The barrel alone is longer than my legs, but luckily the tripod on it can support almost any weight. It's one of the only multi purpose rifles that is available for civilian use— and I had to do the building myself."
Erik bent around from the front seat and the car lurched forwards to a stop.
"Here's the deal. DO NOT run even if you see some guns. Even if they aim the barrel at you, if you run, it's considered treason. For now, Lucas will be carrying a gun as normal. Laura— you gotta put on the chains. Even when we think they aren't watching, they are. Get out of the car, now."
He came around to the door to open it, and Lucas pushed me out while holding the chain in his hands, causing me to choke.
"Ahh! That hurt, Luca—"
"Shut it, slave. I bought you for a hefty price. And for the last time, call me Master."
"Y-yes, master."
It reminded me of the kinky foreplay we had done the two nights earlier, making me blush a little. But now that it was the real deal, I knew my life was on the line and my adrenaline was pumping hard. I felt Lucas yank on the chain that was still on my neck and he pulled me into the crowd.
"HURRY IT UP."
"Yes, m-master…"
Trying my best to look timid and scared, I noticed a few people staring at me. I went to push up against Lucas for comfort, but he only pushed me away. Then an echoing voice boomed over the loudspeakers, queuing me to start getting rowdy.
"Listen now. Welcome to the Square, Officers. And for the rest of you, you are here to witness a lesson being taught by the System. If you disobey or choose to leave, it will be counted as treason. Today, our #1 Royal will be joining us for the execution…"
Seeing that he'd started. I began trying to tug on the chains, creating a lot of noise.
"NO! I DON'T WANT TO! STOP, MASTER!"
Lucas yanked on the chain in protest, leaning in to yell.
"If you create a scene, I WILL NOT HESITATE TO CONTINUE THE TORTURE."
He raised his hand to come in for a slap, and I winced back in anticipation. He didn't actually hit me, but just did the action. I looked around to check if people were beginning to notice, and I was correct. More than half the crowd turned to stare at me, seeing that I was being a disobedient servant.
"Look at that slave— so disrespectful to her master…"
"I'd return it if it behaved like that."
"Ew… I don't think I'd even keep my slave if it rioted like that."
The rumors around me made me feel sick— and grateful. If Erik hadn't bought me, I'd probably be with a lower family because of my screaming at the Auction. Thinking about it some more while struggling against the chain, I thought Erik should at least deserve more credit. Even though he may be weird at times, he was still like my father.
-BOOM-
An explosion could be heard from the far end of the Square, closer to the Execution stand. People began to scream, riot, and run. It was chaos, and the Officials were struggling to keep everyone in the same place.
-CRACK-
A gunshot sounded off in the opposite direction of the explosion, and now the Officials were getting worried. People ran in all directions, clueless as to where they could go for safety. Groups of higher ranking families ran to their limos which the poor people had no choice but to stay still. Then, the Elite in charge of protecting the #1– began screaming.
"HE'S GONE. GET THE ELITES OUT NOW!"
Hundreds of boots could be heard smacking the ground from behind the podium and the Square. The sounds of rifles being loaded could be heard echoing from the ally- ways leading to the Square. Lucas turned to me and looked at me with worry, starting to move away from the Elites.
"Should we go? I don't want to get caught."
I nodded and began to walk towards where we were told to be picked back up. From the distance, I could see both Keeneth and Kira waiting by the car. Lucas began tugging on my chain even harder than before, trying to now run to the car.
"We need to go, Laura."
I couldn't decide what was more worrisome-- the fact that I still had no sight of Erik, or Lucas using a stern voice to talk to me. By the time we had gotten there, both Kira and Keeneth were in the car. Kira was the one driving, and me and Lucas jammed into the back of it.
"Erik's been taken."
I could hear a gasp come from Lucas, and ended up surprising myself for holding my own.
"We don't know where, but he left us a transponder signal that we'll be able to read when we get back to the house. Keeneth's already agreed to do whatever the message says-- even if it implies to leave Erik here."
The car lurched forward as it was shifted into gear, the engine gurgling low at the strain from starting up. Lucas had leaned on me, and soon enough he'd fallen asleep just before we made it to the house. After getting all of the weapons out of the back, we all made our way into the house, groggy and tired. It was only the afternoon, but it felt like I could sleep for 3 days alone. Lucas and I had left Kira to check on the transponder message, but it didn't seem like it was going to finish receiving until later on.
"Just go sleep. Both of you guys deserve it."
She led us to our rooms and walked off with Keeneth to the board room. I practically didn't make it to my bed before I actually fell asleep. I wasn't too sure about Lucas, but by the time I had looked over, he was already bundled up in a blanket; dead asleep. When I actually woke up, I saw Lucas right next to me in my own bed. He was snuggled up against me, and his eyes were red and puffy. I went to stroke his hair behind his ears, and he opened his eyes.
"Mmn."
"How was the nap?"
Lucas' lips curled into a slight smile, and he dug his head further into the pillow.
"Good. I'm still hella' tired though."
"That's good to hear."
It was warm-- almost as warm after our first time together. When I was with Lucas, I felt the same warmth every time. It enveloped me in this blanket of ease. Being around him just made me feel safe-- and I knew it was the same for him. The soft white hair of his was entirely natural, but it wasn't stiff. It was almost like a blanket on his head.
"Can you keep playing with my hair? It feels nice…"
"Mhm."
Both of us continued to hug each other for comfort, not quite wanting to talk much. It was one of those days where you could just lay down for 24 hours with someone and not regret a single minute. Right when I was about to fall asleep, I noticed footsteps outside of our door. Glancing at the time, I knew it wasn't quite dinner yet. 17:30. Dinner started at 18:30 and ended at 19:45--

"We've got the transmission from Erik. There's good news and bad news. Which one first?"
I spoke up, seeing that Lucas was still groggy.
"The bad news."
