Chapter 1: Into the game

Who would've known that I would be reincarnated into the game that I just recently finished playing yesterday? What's even worse is that I became the villainess of the game I played!

Yes, the villainess! I, Sumi, has been reincarnated into the game called "Sweet Romance" as the renowned villainous character "Rachel Vallemont"

I only regained my past memories recently after we finished visiting the king and the queen! I have an idea why we were visiting that place, and surely that was because of the proposal to marry me off to the crown prince!

Goodness, gracious! I don't wanna be engaged to that devious prince! In months of playing this game, there are only 3 routes that I couldn't play due to the fact that I died before I could try those routes!

Though, I never even bothered to try the crown prince's route because I'm more scared of the prince that actually getting killed!

But now that I'm here, I should've just at least tried to play that route, because who knows what will happen to me in the future! Especially if I won't be able to decline this engagement!

Sumi! Think! Think! We all know the consequences if we chose to go on the wrong path! It would be either Execution or get exiled! though I don't mind being exiled at least I won't get killed again!

But getting exiled, Those times will be hard for me, especially food.

Speaking of food...

A loud bang resounded when the big wooden door to my bedroom opened, and in there, my father stood, followed by my mother who came dashing towards me with a worried look.

She gently cupped my face, concern was written all over her face as she asked.

"How have you been feeling my dear? Do you feel pain anywhere? Why are you not eating the foods that I sent to you? Are you really okay?" And It's like something hit her, and she quickly withdraws her hand from my cheeks.

"I'm sorry, I know you don't like to be touched, but I was only---" I stopped her from saying anything more and just hugged her. I pity Rachel's Mother, she was a very sweet and a caring mother. But this Rachel just kept on ignoring and being cold to her! what a waste! She should be very grateful that she had a very kind and caring mother.

"It's okay mother," I said through muffled words, as I snuggled more deeply to my mother's soft bosom. I'm no pervert! She's my mom! You don't have any say on this! And also I'm straight!

I felt my mother stiffened, probably shocked at the behavior that I showed to her as I slowly felt her arms wrap around me too. It's warm, this kind of warmth is blissful, I could really feel the love of a mother.

I popped my head up when I heard the soft footsteps that my Father made, He was silently gazing at us softly, as he watched both his wife and her daughter, hugging.

This was also his first time to see such a scene, Normally, Rachel would push her mother away and looked at her coldly.

But this was also part of his fault, the reason why Rachel hates her mother was because she was not her biological mother. Her mother, Hera, died when she was at the age of 3, and at the age of 5, her father introduced her to Charlotte, this woman right now that she was hugging.

Even though she was not her biological daughter, but she treated her like one, even to the point that she was willing to risk her life to protect hers, but sadly, Rachel thought of this as to put up a show for her father only.

That's why, Rachel, I will use this life of yours to heal your family, this family is surely such a wonderful family and I will make this family shine even more brightly. Not like you who would shame the name of your family.

"How are you feeling now Rachel?" Though her Father asked this in such a caring tone, it still hinted the tone of worry, worried that maybe her daughter wouldn't reply to him. Oh, how he missed seeing the smile of her daughter once again, ever since Hera, her mother died, she never once again smiled and just continued giving cold glares and a very sick personality.He was shocked to see that Rachel smiled. She smiled. For how long had he dread for that day to happen and it really did happen!

"I feel much fine now Father," I said as I smiled softly.

That night, I tried getting to know more about them as the game didn't mention their relationship that much. I was surprised that there were things that the game didn't mention, and honestly, this all feels so unrealistic for me.

It's just, I'm just speechless.

Getting to know more about them was a success and there were a lot of fits of laugh that we threw at each other.

This feeling, the feeling of having a family that truly loves me.

My father and mother was laughing at some corny joke that my father threw, though I was also laughing, I couldn't shake off the fact that, in this life, I now have a family that loves me, and cares for me unconditionally, but was I willing to let go of the past?

In my past life, my parents didn't really care about me at all, they were all too busy with work, sometimes I'd get beaten up without a reason especially when my dad is drunk and loses his bet.

I shivered of the feeling whenever I'd get beaten up, I couldn't do anything other than sob silently, curl myself into a ball and close my eyes as I'd get beaten up, Even imagining it right now, It feels like I could feel those beatings over my body again and again!

That may be one of the reasons why I succumbed myself to playing games, falling in love with someone, as I bitterly cry whenever I try to imagine what life is with caring parents.

"Let's build our own world with just you and me" That was my favorite quote of the game "Sweet Romance" quoted by the second prince, Louis when I tried his route.

My train of thoughts was interrupted when my father reminded me of something that makes me believe that I heard it all wrong.

"Rachel, we are heading to the royal palace in a few days" My Father, Elliot, said.

"The palace?"

"Yes, well, the King has something to say to us, and It would be good if you could come along too"

I know where this was heading, this must be the proposal for both the crown prince and me, Rachel Vallemont to be engaged! As much as possible I would like to avoid that as possible, with more interactions to his highness, which means, more possibility that the heroine and I will meet.

I don't even wanna get caught on their own love story, might as well avoid those routes as possible.

If only I could cancel our engagement, maybe I could live in a carefree life, that wouldn't be too much for the game that its story will flow wrongly right?

Well, the heroine is pretty good at magic, and also very attractive and alluring, that would be enough to make those guys fell head over heels for our heroine, whereas I will be supporting them on the sidelines, completely avoiding my life-long annihilation or execution.
