Chapter 214 - Why Did You Do IT???

"I already did the payment."

With her hands stuck on the door knob, Da-Jung turned her head around and stared at Woo-Jin being surprised. "What do you mean?" She asked while still keeping her hand on the door knob.

Woo-Jin folded his hands above his chest and smirked as if he had won in stopping her. "I.did.the.payment!" He pronounced each and every word clearly and walked towards her.

Removing her hand which was on the door knob, Woo-Jin held it and slowly caressed the gauze over her knuckles. "You don't need to go today; I have already paid for your dad's room!"

Da-Jung retracted her hand from his hold and stepped behind. She tightly clutched her bag and walked back to the bed.

Woo-Jin chuckled at her annoyed behaviour and took the fruit tray kept on the table in his hand.

"Let me cut some fruits…"

"Why did you do the payment?" Da-Jung asked after sitting on the bed. This angered her a little that when she needed him, he wasn't there and now when she didn't needed his help, he was helping her.

Woo-Jin stopped for a while and then continued peeling the orange. "I think… I should atleast do this much. You were the one who used to do everything for me so, I thought…"

"So, you thought that it would be better for you to do so, isn't it right?" Da-Jung interjected him again and questioned him.

Woo-Jin slightly nodded and separated the orange into pieces.

"How much did you pay? I will pay you back!"

"Call your mother and ask. Here, have an orange!" Saying that, Woo-Jin handed her an orange and Da-Jung gave an 'are-you-serious' type of look.

Just as Da-Jung took the phone to call her mother, she received a call from her mother, instead. She picked up and saw Woo-Jin walking to the window where she had stood before.

"Hey! Da-Jung! Who is this rich friend of yours who paid all the bills and also the money for the loan sharks, huh?"

"All the bills and also the money for the loan sharks?" Da-Jung repeated her mother's words and stared at Woo-Jin in disbelief. She saw the corners of his lips curving upwards and she wanted to hurry over and ask him.

But before that, she had to answer her mother who was asking her about the rich friend…

"Uhh… a new friend, mother! She works with me and she said that she would pay… I think she did that!" Da-Jung stuttered trying to make up answers in her mind.

"But it was a lot of money. Are you sure that you didn't get that money from doing some wrong deeds, Da-Jung?"

"Yes, yes! Mother! It is my friend. She just texted me, it is her. Your daughter won't do any wrong deeds to get money, mom!" Da-Jung remarked playfully and hung up the call after asking about her father.

After finishing up the talk with her mother, Da-Jung crossed her arms above her chest and sternly stared at Woo-Jin.

"So, why did you do that?"

It hadn't just been a second since Woo-Jin turned around and he received a straightforward question instead of a thanks.

Looking at her stern glare, it reminded Woo-Jin of the time when they were happily married. Everytime, Woo-Jin would come late, Da-Jung would stand at the door, cross her arms above her chest, tap her feet angrily on the ground and give a stern glare.

At the start of their marriage, her glares used to give Woo-Jin shivers but as time progressed, he got used to it and as more years progressed, he began to miss her each and every act. Now, seeing her like this, it instantly reminded him of the past and it made him feel like just hugging her and saying her he was glad that she was back in his life.

A chuckle escaped his mouth and he answered with an adorable smile over his face "It is the least I can do for you so that you will stay by my side..."

At first, hearing that, made Da-Jung feel like Woo-Jin was indirectly telling her to stay next to him. However, when she heard his complete words, Da-Jung felt utterly confused.

"Till the concert ends!" Woo-Jin completed his sentence after taking a slight pause. He didn't know what to say or what not to say. Nevertheless, he stated that what came in his mind.

"What do you mean?"

"That..." Woo-Jin scratched his forehead and answered after giving it a thought "You will know after you come for practice right after you get discharged."

"What?" Da-Jung felt like asking again but she gave up. She knew how stubborn Woo-Jin was. She slightly nodded and ate the orange.

In the morning, the doctor came and checked up on Da-Jung. The nurse changed her gauze bandage and connected another bottle of IV drip to her body.

"When can I go back home, Doctor?" Da-Jung felt so sick of staying in the hospital room. It had been just less than one day but she felt very sick of staying in the plain, empty room.

If Woo-Jin wasn't here, maybe she would have been more sick of it.

"You are much healthier than yesterday. So, you can be discharged in the evening."

Da-Jung smiled as soon as she heard that. She bowed her head in gratitude and the doctor left followed by the nurse.

Later in the evening, Da-Jung was discharged. She hoped to see Woo-Jin by her side but ever since last night, she didn't see Woo-Jin. She was disappointed and glad at the same time.

She called her friend Sina and Sina bought Jinha along with her. Upon seeing her two friends in the hospital asking her various questions and being worried about her, Da-Jung chuckled.

"Thanks a lot for coming, both of you." Da-Jung mumbled and Sina carefully bought her to the cab. Jinha sat in the front seat next to the driver's and Sina sat beside Da-Jung in the backseat.

Meanwhile, Woo-Jin drove his car to the hospital to pick up Da-Jung but he drove back around when he saw Da-Jung getting in the cab with her friends. He was relieved that Da-Jung atleast had these two as her friends.
