Chapter 232 - Coincidence or Fate?

Instantly when the photos were taken, Jenny rushed towards her uncle and asked being surprised "You guys know one another?"

James looked at Mirae and then scratched the back of his neck when he felt his cheeks turning red "Yeah! Kind of we do!"

Jenny's mouth twitched and she threw daggers at Mirae. When Ga-Eun noticed the look on Jenny's face, she opened the camera in her phone and said "Let's take some more photos, shall we?"

Hearing the word 'photos' everyone remained calm and stood in positions. When Mirae began to walk towards Soo-Ah, she felt someone holding her hand and as she looked at the person holding her hand, she saw him move closer to her.

"Stand next to me, please!" Her heart started beating like a drum and she had no choice but stand next to him.

And all until the photos were taken, Mirae could feel him holding her hand. A pleased smile came over her lips as she realized that she was able to meet this man again.

She didn't know what it was but her heart used to beat extremely fast when he was around. This feeling was nice but she wondered until how long this feeling could last. Well, there was no way she could think of having something with this man because he was way out of her league.

He was a foreigner, a famous architect, someone who was very handsome and last but not the least, he had become Yeonjun's uncle.

Mirae still couldn't stop herself from feeling hurt whenever she saw Yeonjun so, there was no way this man named James was for her. When the photos were done, Mirae saw Yeonjun moving closer and kissing Jenny. Well, they were married now but doing all this in the open? Mirae felt disgusting.

She knew it was just a show-off but there is something called privacy… even when you show-off. Mirae felt really disgusted.

Or maybe she was just hurt, plainly hurt.

She walked towards an empty table and poured a glass of wine for herself. As she began to drink, she heard someone speak.

"People say that if you meet someone for the third time, it is not a coincidence but fate. What do you think of this encounter, Miss Mirae?"

Mirae gently placed her glass down on the table and turned around with a pleased smile. Judging from how this man called her 'Miss Mirae', she knew that it was James. And so, she replied "I don't know. I maybe think of this as a coincidence."

"Coincidence?" James asked with a puzzled yet amused look on his face.

"Yes." Mirae gave a nod and asked "Shall I pour you one, Mr. James?"

"Yes, please!"

Mirae poured a glass for James and said "I think it is a coincidence because none of us expected that we would meet here." She took a sip from her glass and waited for James to say something. James elegantly held the glass in his hand and he also took a sip from it. "Since none of us expected that we would meet here, I think that it is fate, Miss Mirae." He gave a smirk.

"Can be." Mirae shrugged her shoulders and took another sip from the glass. As James saw the glass touching her small pink lips, he couldn't help but think of touching them. But he kept his thoughts under control.

"I guess you now know me, Miss Mirae."

When James had met Mirae in the café, he was certainly sure that Mirae didn't know him judging from the way, she was only calling him 'Sir'. He was a little bit amused by that.

But now hearing her call 'Mr. James', he assumed that she might know about him.

"Except for your name and your profession, I know nothing else, Mr. James." Mirae didn't know if it was the alcohol or if it was her naughty side, but she was sure that she was flirting with this guy. Upon seeing his smile, she was sure that he too was liking it. She just didn't wanted to leave any chances of not doing anything with this man because who knew if she was to meet with him again or not?

James chuckled and asked "Would you like to know more about me, Miss Mirae?" He briefly glanced at her and took another sip from his glass waiting for her to answer.

Just as Mirae was about to say something, Ga-Eun came over and said "Sorry to disturb you both but I would like to take Mirae with me." Mirae drank the remaining wine in her glass and said with a smile "See you then, Mr. James."

And she walked with Ga-Eun.

"Looks like you were having a good time." Ga-Eun said.

Mirae shrugged her shoulders. She realized that what she was doing was wrong. Absolutely wrong. "Good that you pulled me away otherwise, I didn't know what I would have done." And as they walked inside the hall, Mirae saw Hyunmin standing with Soo-Ah.

"He said that he wanted to apologize so, I brought you over." Mirae rolled her eyes and walked towards Soo-Ah and Hyunmin.

Hyunmin was looking all fine. Guess, Mr. James hadn't hit him that hard. She was just worrying for nothing! "Hi, Mirae!" Hyunmin said while keeping his head lowered. As he received a pinch on his hand by Soo-Ah, he winced and scratched his neck.

"I am sorry about that day, Mirae. I really am. I shouldn't have done that. I am so sorry!"

Soo-Ah again pinched him and Hyunmin looked at her.

"B-O-W- D-O-W-N- T-O- H-E-R-" Soo-Ah mouthed her words and Hyunmin gave a displeased look.

"N-O-W!" She again pinched him and Hyunmin gave a bow. "I'm really sorry, Mirae! Please forgive me!"

"Woah! Woah! Woah!" Mirae stepped back and looked around. "Stop that! It is embarrassing. It looks like I'm torturing you."

Mirae knew who was behind all this and she signaled Soo-Ah to stop. Soo-Ah again pinched Hyunmin and he immediately stood up straight. "Just don't do it with anyone, Hyunmin! I'm glad that you are okay and have learnt your lesson."

Mirae gave a smile and patted on his shoulder. "Take care!"

As Hyunmin walked away, Soo-Ah and Ga-Eun looked at her. "Aigoo! This forgiving personality of yours. You know sometimes you should be hard and rude towards a person."

Ga-Eun said while pulling Mirae close in a hug.

"I think I don't need to because I got you guys, Hehe!" Mirae pulled Soo-Ah in for a hug and the three hugged one another. Well, if not boyfriends, Mirae had two wonderful girlfriends and she was very, very much glad to have them in her life.
