Ah-Yeong changed into light clothes and came out of her room when she remembered about the lunchbox which Sang Hoon had prepared.
After this news, she no longer had an appetite to eat at school but after reaching home, she became hungry. Thinking that the food would go to waste, she took out her lunchbox from her bag and sat on the couch.
As she opened the lunchbox, she saw the sandwiches which were placed neatly and a heart drawn by a ketchup on each of those sandwiches. There were five in total and five hearts on each sandwich.
Ah-Yeong softly chuckled seeing them. She didn't know why but after last night, she felt that Sang Hoon was a changed person.
She was having food cooked by him...
When Ah-Yeong took a bite from the sandwich, all the various flavors opened her hunger and she began to eat in a fast forward mode. The sandwiches were so delicious that it just took her five minutes to finish them all.
As she began to lick her fingers, she heard a voice behind her "Would you like me to make more, Mrs. Jung?"
As soon as Ah-Yeong heard Sang Hoon's voice, she jumped up on the couch with fear and turned around to see him standing at the entrance holding a cover of groceries in one hand and a bouquet of tulips in the other.
To be frank, Sang Hoon had been standing outside of the house ever since he saw her car being parked. He was coming back home after buying some groceries but when he saw her carrying a box in her hand and walking inside her house, he thought of buying something for her and surprising her.
And it took him some time to choose something which he liked and when his eyes fell on the freshly bought yellow tulips, he couldn't help but buy them. And after buying them, when he had already opened the door and walked in, he saw her eating the sandwiches which he had prepared.
A cute smile came over his lips and when he saw her licking her fingers, he thought of teasing her.
And so, he asked "Would you like me to make more, Mrs. Jung?" He surely couldn't forget the nickname which he had used in the morning while handing the lunchbox to her.
Ah-Yeong quickly sprang up from the couch and headed inside the kitchen saying "I didn't see you coming."
Sang Hoon walked in and followed after her. He placed the groceries on the countertop and said in a playful manner "Yes, how could you see? You were busy in eating your sandwiches." He inhaled the bouquet which was in his hand and stretched out the hand towards her.
"What is this for?" Ah-Yeong was surprised to see the beautiful bouquet being given to her.
"For you." Sang Hoon nonchalantly gave a reply. Why he thought of yellow tulips was because yellow tulips represented happiness and hope. He was happy to have Ah-Yeong by his side and there was hope in him that his one-sided love would turn out to be double sided soon.
As Sang Hoon saw her hesitating to take, he held her hand and made her hold the bouquet. "This is my love for you so, please accept it." He said while touching her cheek. Ah-Yeong stood still while holding the bouquet in her hand. She was surprised to hear a sudden confession coming from Sang Hoon.
On the other hand, Sang Hoon immediately turned around after handing the bouquet. He was afraid that Ah-Yeong might catch his blushing face and tease him regarding this. So, he immediately started to arrange the items which he had bought.
Few minutes later, he saw her walking out of the kitchen and into her room. He took a deep breath and turned around only to see the bouquet kept as it is on the table.
Sang Hoon gave a deep sigh and walked closer to the bouquet. Looking at it closely, he said while touching the petals of one of the tulips "Guess she doesn't like you."
He walked out of the kitchen and arranged the bouquet in a vase and placed that vase on the dining table. Well, having to see tulips while eating was fascinating. He gave a smile and walked inside the kitchen.
Ah-Yeong loved those flowers a lot but she couldn't accept them. There was a time when Dae-Hyun used to bring these bouquets and so many other gifts to her. But it was all before he had gone outside for his higher studies. After he had returned back, Ah-Yeong no longer felt him to be the same except for that warm and cosy feeling which was coming inside her heart whenever she was around Dae-Hyun.
If she was to accept those tulips given by Sang Hoon, she really would have been doing a big mistake.
Ah-Yeong was soon going to ask for a divorce from him and there was no way... that she could play with his heart or feelings. She only had one man in her heart and that man was Dae-Hyun and no one else. That is why, she placed the bouquet back on the table and walked away.
Closing the door behind her, Ah-Yeong rested on her bed and took her phone from the bedside table. She opened it and saw no notifications.
"Are you going to be angry like this?" She said while looking at the profile picture of Dae-Hyun's.
"Hmph! Fine! I too won't message you." She pouted her face and closed her eyes to take a short nap.
