"You don't suspect any of your family members?" After contemplating for a long while, Han Seo Jun decided to ask his question. Ever since, he got to know that she was out with her teammates during the death of her brother, he couldn't help but think about what her other family members were doing.
"If your brother was killed in the house, then maybe there was someone who would have seen something or heard something, right?" He elaborated as he saw Ji Hyun's puzzled expression.
"No! I had asked my parents and they said that they were out."
"Why did they leave him alone?" 'If her brother was the only one left at home, couldn't they have taken him along. Besides what would a high schooler do to interrupt?' As he asked this question, he thought about other various questions he should ask.
"Ki Tae was having his exams from next week so, he had to prepare for that. But, Mr. Han…"
"Seo Jun!!!" He interrupted her. Han Seo Jun was really irritated when he heard her calling him 'Mr. Han', If he wanted to take his relationship further, he had to first remove this formal attitude.
"Call me Seo Jun! I'm younger than you." Seo Jun continued.
"But…" Park Ji Hyun sighed. Maybe it was too formal. Like he was very young to her so, calling him Mr. Han was very formal or maybe over. "Alright, I will call you Seo Jun itself." She agreed.
A smile came on his lips as he heard his name coming out from her lips. "And can I call you Noona?"
"Since I am calling you by your name, I think you can call me that." Ji Hyun responded.
"Thank you, Noona!" Seo Jun said in a soft gentle voice.
Ji Hyun gave a smile and lowered her gaze. She didn't know why… ever since she met him, she was feeling something weird in her heart. What was this feeling actually?
"So, you got no suspects?" Seo Jun asked while thinking about what she had said earlier to him. She had told him that her brother never meddled in anyone's business and he was very quiet. He was a high school student and he was just solely focused on preparing for his exams.
So, why would someone murder a high schooler, an 18-year-old boy for no reason?
Ji Hyun kept her hand on her chin and thought for a while. Yes, it was true! Her brother never got involved with anyone else. And when she had investigated the case, there was one thing that felt her wrong. It was her mother.
While checking out the phone calls of every people involved, Ji Hyun had also checked her father's and mother's phone call and in her mother's phone call list, there was an unknown number which she had never seen before.
And when she had asked her mother about this, her mother changed the topic by saying something else. Ji Hyun had checked the number so much, that she had even memorized it.
"I think…"
"No! I don't have any suspects!" Ji Hyun shook her head and removed the wrong thoughts. 'There is no way that I can suspect my mother.'
"You sure?" Seo Jun took a close look at her. He examined her face; it was as if she wasn't able to continue.
He turned around such that his back faced her and continued "You know, sometimes it so happens that the person whom we not think as the suspect, they actually turn out to be the culprit. So, if you have someone then say it."
"Actually… I don't have those call lists, otherwise, I would have shown it to you too."
Han Seo Jun abruptly turned around and asked before frowning "Where are they?"
"I forgot to tell Seok Kyung to bring them. I need to call her to inform her to bring them over tomorrow." She gave a sheepish smile.
Seo Jun took out his phone from his pocket and gave it to her. "Here, use my phone and call her."
"Cool!" Ji Hyun showed a thumbs-up sign and took his phone. She quickly dialed Seok Kyung's number and after a few rings, Seok Kyung answered.
"Hello, Seok Kyung!! It's me."
"Unnie?"
"Yes, it's me! Listen, I need you to bring me the call list of all the people involved. I have to check something."
After saying that, Ji Hyun hung up the phone. She checked the time on the phone, and it was 8:30 at night.
She looked at Seo Jun standing beside her and she asked with a surprised look on her face "Are you not going home? It's 8:30! Your family might be worried about you. You have been staying here from so long…"
"I think I am okay staying here. Got no one who would worry for me." Han Seo Jun shrugged his shoulders and casually replied. Although he didn't show any expressions on his face, Ji Hyun understood that he was upset from his voice.
"I am sorry! I shouldn't have asked that." She quickly apologized. She thought that his parents were no longer alive.
"No! I didn't mean that. My parents are well... They are just leaving abroad so, I stay alone."
"Ohh! I see." Ji Hyun made an 'O' face and nodded.
