Somewhere near a pond ...
"Appear Elena!" The brown-haired man, dressed in a strange way, shouted "I know you're here somewhere."
Elena Ferraz closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She knew that Arthur would find her in a short time, but she didn't expect it to be so fast. Ironically, when they worked together he was not that efficient. The woman heard the man's footsteps approaching, his boots hit the wet earth and made a rather funny noise for the situation.
She stared at the mirror she was still holding, it had changed so much since she ended up in this strange place. Now with 25 years, she smiled as she remembered how difficult it was to get used to a world so different from her original one. The woman knew that her end was near, she would soon die.
The man saw the big stone and went over there, hearing the noise of the clock that Elena always wore ... Tik-tok-tik-tok. The noise was weak and rhythmic as were his steps. When he got close to the stone, for the first time in a long time he felt something, his heart beat faster for what he had to do. He surrounded the stone and saw her for the first time in years, she was nothing like the girl he met at the age of 16. Her body developed and she now dressed appropriately.
The woman looked up and looked at her former best friend, her former lover, nothing more just than being the one to kill her. He stared at her and pulled the gun out of his pants pocket, pointing at her. Elena just waited for what would happen, and watched him. Arthur wore brown cotton trousers with a straight cut, a long-sleeved blouse, a matching vest with the trousers, and of course a top hat with gears. The only accessory that remained the same in him since they met was the aviator glasses.
The man shot the woman in the heart and blood started to flow between her clothes, she just smiled. The body fell to the floor and saw the vision darken. Was that the end? Killed by the hands of the person you once trusted the most? The destination is really unexpected.
"Everything could have been different, El, if you had listened to me in the past." He turned and left without looking back, she represented his past. A past he prefers not to remember. "It's for the sake of the Empire."
Elena Ferraz hears the words of her killer and agrees that everything could have been different, however she likes how her life was. Everything she lived was extremely precious and she didn't want it to be different.
They say that life passes through your eyes when you are about to die. And that is what happened to the red woman. Her blood-red dress dripped from her chest, her black coat with metal flowers, her hat matching the outfit and silver pieces other than the usual copper. She was never common.
She closed her eyes and remembered her 16 years when she saw this strange land for the first time, the world of old clothes, beautiful dresses, strange tools and with technology very different from what she was used to.
During the first 16 years of her life she lived in an orphanage in the interior of the country where she lived. She had a laptop computer, a gift from the school principal, and some clothes that were mostly jeans and shirts that were too big. Clothes quite different from the ones she got used to wearing in the world she lives in now. In her motherland she was in the 21st century, but she prefers not to talk about her old world, she has become accustomed to the new. Her real name was not even Elena, that was the name of her favorite character when she was younger.
Clara heard the sound of a gunshot and ran with Vicent by her side. They arrived in a meadow and saw Eleonor's body lying on the ground. The woman in pink despaired and walked as fast as possible to her best friend, checked her wrists. They were too weak.
"Vicente help me, let's get El to the carriage." The blonde just stared at her and did nothing. "Come on, Vicent!"
"There is no use Clara. She was shot in the chest. Look at the blood. And her head is also hurt …"
"Do not say that. We've been through worse situations. "She shouted and tried to raise her friend.
Vicent took Eleonor from Clara's arms and took her to the carriage. He held her head carefully and saw drops of water fall on the girl's body in his arms. He was shocked to realize that it was his own tears, he knew he had no way of saving her.
"Vicent " Elena said weakly.
"Don't talk too much, rest," he said.
" I don't have much time left. Don't cry dear Vicent, Clara will be desperate if she sees you crying. Be strong for her, okay?" She stopped for a moment and her gaze seemed lost. "Vicente I love you and I want you to be happy. There are so many things that I could never tell you."
"Hey, please don't say anything else. Be quiet, let me take you to the carriage." His voice was weak
"Listen to me. In the trunk, I always carry with me, there are some diaries, I want you to read them. My story is there. The notebooks are numbered.
"I'm going to read it," he said, looking Elena in the eye.
"Goodbye."She smiled.

The next day they provided the funeral. Clara put on Elena her favorite clothes. The dead woman was stunning and just looked asleep, her serene face almost in a smile and her hands on each other just above her belly. Her loose hair seemed to cascade over her shoulder, her old earrings were engagement gifts. The engagement that can never happen.
Clara hasn't stopped crying since she found her and Vicente only left Eleonor's side to provide the funeral, however after talking they realized that it would be better if she was cremated.
Many showed up to say goodbye, at least those in town.
"It is a pity that she will be cremated, she is so beautiful. It looks nothing like the girl I took on years ago." The captain looked sadly at the motionless body. "You said you would never fail to keep a promise, but you never fulfilled your dreams. Honey, I promise I'll finish what you started."
The others said goodbye to the woman. A few minutes before they burned it, the last guest arrived. Black clothes and brown hair, aviator goggles above his head and the weapon with which he killed Eleonor was hidden in his coat.
Vicente was surprised to see his old friend, he had changed little. However, I could feel that something was wrong.
The brown said goodbye to Elena like the others, he looked tired as if he hadn't been sleeping.
At night Clara, Vicente and the captain threw the ashes from the ship. The blonde went to Elena's room and took the diaries, lay on his bed and started reading them. The past has always left him homesick and these notebooks would certainly show him a better reality than the current one ...

In a dark room, the red woman opened her eyes . She took a deep breath and put her hands where she was shot.
"Don't worry. You're in a better place now." Elena started and looked away. In an armchair was the most beautiful man she had ever seen, his hair was bluish black, like the night sky she spent on the captain's ship, his eyes were silver like the liquid mercury from her chemistry lessons in her first world . He was more handsome than Arthur could ever be, she gaped for a moment.
"Where are we? Who are you?" She then noticed that his lips were redder than should be humanly possible, and his skin was paler than anything she had ever seen. He then ran his hand over his mouth and she realized that his lips were not naturally red, but that there was blood in his mouth. " What are you?"
