Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

Present day

Roop's POV:

Though I plugged in my earphones, I didn't start any music and was sleeping peacefully when suddenly, the alarm clock couldn't seem to tolerate this and started in my ears.

*ugh*

"Here's your dinner mam! Would you like something to drink?" asked the waitress.

"Thanks, water please!"

"Are you really not my schoolmate?" Shaurya

"I went to an all girl's school in Spain." (that's where I studied business from)

"But you feel so familiar, like I've known you since ages"

*imaginary eyeroll*

"Hi, I am Shaurya Sharma from Dehradun, India"

"Roop Malhotra, CEO, Malhotra Corporation" I replied without looking at him

"She's so different than my Roop, cold and ignorant." I heard him murmur to himself thinking I've music playing in my ears, fool.

I kept ignoring him for the rest of journey.

As soon as we unmounted from the plane, *ring-ring*

Priti calling....

"Hello!"

"Mam, the driver has been sent. Have a safe journey home."

"I've already tolerated a dozen people on flight, don't worry, I'll be there soon."

I ended the call.

Priti is my personal manager, more like a sister to me. She is dad's schoolmate's daughter and he brought her here to manage me everything.

"Oh crap!!" I watched in horror as the media flew towards me.

But somehow, the bodyguards, probably who are sent by Priti or Shukla, made way for me through the crowd and helped me into the car. As, we were about to leave, I saw a girl run towards Shaurya and hug him. She was average heighten, short straight hair and brown eyes. Oh, its his babygirl, LOL.

I moved my eyes away from their clinginess.

10 minutes later, in my house.

"Dad! You're here" I squealed in joy.

"It's been a month dear. How are you"

"I'm good. Where's mom?"

"She's making arrangements at the family house."

"Arrangement for?"

"Beta, you're here most of the time, we want you to spend a few days with us in the mansion. Also, your Maasi is arriving today. And I'm not taking a 'no'!"

"Ok dad! I'll be there tomorrow after office!"

"Fine then, I must leave now, I've got a lot to do in the office and you, take rest for the day."

As he left, I demanded for Shukla in front of me. He is in his 50s and has assisted my dad since two and a half decades.

"Priti, get me a dice. Oh wait, get me 5 of them." I smirked.

Shukla trembled.

Priti got me the dice and I looked back and forth between the dice and Shukla.

I rolled the die and... '24'

"Shukla ji, 24 push-ups, now. And if you don't complete this task...." I deliberately stopped mid sentence.

I know I'm ruthless but it isn't that bad because here's only the three of us, Priti, Shukla and myself.

Unwillingly, Shukla started doing the push ups. This fat bellied man made me travel in that airplane while he knew that I won't tolerate this.

"one... one and a half...."

20 minutes later,

"twenty one"

"Madam! I cannot do more than this! Please"

"Okay then, 3 left, so for that, what do we do Priti??" I said dramatically.

She was having a hard time holding back her laughter.

"You have to act like a chicken for the next 3 hours!" I answered my own question.

Both of them looked at me at the same time in disbelief.

Minutes later, Shukla started running throughout the hall dancing and walking like a chicken.
