"Elliot, you there?"
Elliot woke from deep thought and turned her head to her friend and in a joking voice replied: "yes, your majesty, what can I do for you"
Her friend signed in frustration, but could keep a smile out of her voice:" we need to go to the briefing station, unless you want to be late again for the next job?"
Elliot reluctantly stood up, normally she enjoyed her job but she recently found out she was to be partners with Zaria, the guilds champion as well as the weirdest and creepiest member. It's rumoured her real names Rose but was mistranslated through paperwork but the name must have stuck.
"Jasper, I found out that Z lady is in our workgroup", Elliot told her friend quietly, Z lady was their code name for Zaria.
Jasper froze in her stance, "what?"
Then the girls' screens popped up, alerting them they were needed in the briefing room, within the next five minutes, it seemed they have wasted their head's patience.
The girls picked up the pace and took off, keeping their fast pace to not anger their boss any further.
Meanwhile in the head's office, Zaria and Jameson sat in stern silence. The room had such a condescending tone that one would feel sorry for the bystander in the brilliant white office. Zaria, finally broke eye contact with her boss and turned to the window, overshadowing the community's city. The view was calming compared to her daily life.
