Beth's Pov
"Do I have to have dinner with your mom tonight?" I asked Tobias for the hundredth time this evening.
"Yes, K." Tobias laughed. "Come on, the food is awesome, and my mom is super kind."
Yes, as you can see, I was about to have my first dinner with vampires. Moreover, the Queen of vampires. The strange thing is Tobias never talked about her father, and I was not going to ask him if he did not want to talk about it. He deserved to have some privacy of his past.
"That felt so~ good," I exclaimed happily as I walked out of the shower with a huge bath towel around me.
"I'm glad you enjoyed it." Tobias said and in a "whoosh", he was standing right in front of me. He tucked a strand of wet hair behind my right left ear. "You are so beautiful."
"Oh my God, Tobias," I said in embarrassment. "Keep it together."
"Why should I?" Tobias answered challengingly. Before I was able to react, his right hand was on my waist, and in a grip, he pulled me toward him. My body bumped right into his, and all I was able to do at the time was staring at his gorgeous face. His eyes were glued to mine, and through his eyes, I could tell he was totally enjoying himself. He had this stupid smirk on his face, and I bet I just looked like a tomato.
"You need to stop doing that," I said trying to sound offended, but my body was doing the very opposite. The crazy thing was that I couldn't' stop myself.
My heart was racing, and I couldn't breathe, in a good way.
If you know what I mean...
Without processing anything in my head, I tiptoed as high as I can. Tobias in return lowered his head, little by little, our head, no, our lips got closer and closer. My eyes couldn't leave his lips, and the more I looked, the more I lost control of myself. Our lips were about half an inch away when someone opened the door.
Damn it!
"I brought your dress for tonight's dinner, my lady."
Damn you, Irina.
"Aw, you also look so beautiful when you're angry," Tobias said jokingly. Here I was, being angry at the fact that our little "moment" was ruined, while he was just laughing his ass off.
"Go away," I said and pushed him away. Holding onto my bath towel tightly, I walked over to Irina who was silently waiting for me. "Thanks."
"Let's save it for another time, love," Tobias said, as he stressed the word "it", obviously talking about the kiss that never happened.
"Who wants to kiss you." I sassed.
"I never mentioned the word 'kiss'". Tobias half sang, and walked out of the room.
"Such a dick," I said to myself.

After what felt like hours, I was finally ready. If Irina was not stuck here as a prisoner, I would totally convince her to be a makeup artist or Clothe designer. Seriously, she's got the sense of style that I always had, and oh, don't even let me get started on the makeup. She was totally professional. However, think about it, she had to be good enough to be a freaking Queen's personal maid, so yea... She better be this good.
She was, however, extremely quiet the entire time. She only said what she had to say, such as "Is this dress too tight?", "Are you ok with this lipstick?", "Are you ok with this brand of foundation?", and in the end, she said in a very robotic tone, "You look gorgeous, my lady, please follow me to the dining room. Our walk to the dining room was also very quiet and... Awkward.
Finally, after about 7 minutes, I couldn't stand the silence anymore.
"How big is this place! My feet are starting to hurt." I complained.
"I'm sorry, my lady. I know you hate high-heels, but Master T insisted that you wear heels to dinner tonight." Irina answered in a very sorry, but still very robotic tone. I never blamed her, instead, I felt sorry for her. I hope letting her be my maid was the right thing to do.
"Ugh! Nobody's gonna look at my ugly feet, damn it." I cursed angrily. "I miss my days in New York already..."
"Oh... Are you not enjoying yourself here, little girl?" I heard someone ask from behind me.
"Flame!" I turned around quickly and called. "Long time no see!"
"Hey." Flame said as he took my left hand, and kissed it softly. "I didn't expect you to miss me this bad. I'm flattered."
"Cut the crap." I laughed. "I just want to know, how big is this place, and how far is the dining room?"
"Oh, the dining room is right around the corner, and yea, this castle is about 24757 ft²." He said casually.
"Holy shit, that big!"
"Come on, the castle back in England was way bigger."
"I cannot believe that... I used to think of Uncle Dan as the richest guy I would ever know."
"Oh, that old dog. I'm even richer than him, don't even get me started on how rich Tobias is..."
"Ok, you know what, I'm starving," I said, trying to end this conversation.

"Hey, beautiful..." Tobias whispered in my ear, as I sat nervously at the fancy dinner table. The dining room was just... I don't even know if the word "beautiful" was good enough to describe it. There was an absurd crystal chandelier hanging down from the ceiling. It dripped with antique diamonds, and the twelve branches that stretched out from the central base was made from white gold. The diamonds reflected beautifully from the light of the other ceiling lights.
The dining room was an elegant piece of art. The room was designed in a modern style but at the same time, it had an old-fashioned taste to it. The lights were perfect, the chairs, and the long marble stone dining table were all so well designed.
These people are seriously filthy rich...
After taking a long deep breath, I finally answered Tobias, "Hey,"
"You know you don't have to be so nervous right?"
I rolled my eyes and decided to ignore him.
Jestin and Flame also came to dinner, so there were just 5 of us. Jestin and Flame sat beside each other on one side of the table, while Tobias and I sat on the other side. Finally, Tobias' gorgeous mom sat at the head of the table. She had pure black hair, and her face was surprisingly pale. She looked young, like in her late 20's, but by the way, she held herself, she seemed like a queen and a mother.
"Hello, Katerina. It's been a very long time. As you already know, I am Arwyad and Maelogan's, mother." The gorgeous Queen greeted. "My name is Arianwen."
"Mom!!!"Flame and Tobias both answered in such a childish complaining way. "You promised!"
"Oh, pardon me. Oh... I wasn't supposed to say your first names... Yes... Sorry about that, boys." She had the most loving smile ever, and she looked at the boys with such kindness. However, something seemed a little off about her, she seemed sad.
"So, Tobias and Flame are not you guys' first names?" I asked.
"No." Flame answered angrily in a kiddish way.
"Why are you guys so upset?"
"Because, about a thousand years ago, you set a rule on us. That..." Jestin answered with a very straight face. "Only you can call us, by our first names... and yea, we didn't want to tell you, because we wanted to wait till you remember it yourself."
"Holy..." I said to myself, but then realizing I better not curse in front of the queen, I stopped myself.
"Only you can call me 'Ardwyad'," Tobias said as he captured me in his eyes again. "Okay?"
"Yea..." I managed to say. Then, I cleared my throat before tearing my eyes away from his. "Anyways, Queen Arianwen, thank you so much for this amazing meal and place."
"You're welcome," Tobias answered before his mother did. "I own this place. You should thank me."
"Oh my God, you are such a child," I exclaimed, and looked apologetically toward the Queen. She just smiled and nodded at me assuredly.

The rest of the dinner was just wonderful, the food was absolutely delicious, and the conversations all went quite well. Sadly, in the middle of the meal, a young man who looked tall and muscular walked in, whispered something in Tobias' ear, and when Tobias heard it, his face got all dark and angry again. The others all reacted in the same way. The Queen, however, had a very sad look, and she looked like she was about to cry.
(Jestin, Flame, and Queen Arianwen are all vampires, and vampires have very sharp hearings, so they were all able to hear what the young man whispered. )
"I'm sorry, K. I gotta go take care of some..." He stopped. "Bussiness."
Just before Tobias was about to excuse himself, "Tobias." The Queen called. "Please don't..."
"I know, mother." He bowed respectfully and gave both Flame and Jestin a look. "Excuse me."
