She heard the horn. It was the horn to call the knights. The girl's name was Amelia. She was one of the knights in the kingdom of Nottingham.The knights were the most brave and strong people of the kingdom. The knights were also known for their extreme loyalty to the king. Their chivalry was second to none. As soon as she heard the horn, she woke up and marched towards the courtyard.The knights wer called to guard the king on his early morning stroll of the kingdom. The king was fond of taking a stroll of the kingdom every once in a week. Today, Amelia was in charge of the team. She has to make sure that no harm comes to the His majesty. The knights march to the king, Amelia in front of the group. She assembles the group and tells them about todays mission. They all surround the king in a cirlcle so that nothing, not even an ant, could walk past him. Then they lead the king safely throughout the kingdom. After a few miles, Amelia reaches her home village. She was so happy but tried to keep it to herself. She marched along the path she once walked when she was a little girl. She was tough on the outside, but had soft feelings way deep inside. In a second, she was in the world of nostalgic moments. She saw the swing she played on old willow tree. She saw her friends. She saw many others things. Just as she was about to see some more, she heard the sound the sound of swords clashing. She quickly exited from the land of sweet memories. She fund out that a gang of thieves have gotten into the chain of knights and stole the most prized object of all Nottingham. Not silver, nor gold, it was the ring that brings rain. It was believed to summon the rain gods. And now, because of her, the kingdom will suffer from the lack of rain. The knights go back to the palace and Amelia is called to the court. She marched to the court, her head held high, as she knew she would face severe consequences and even death. "You have done great treachery Amelia.You have lost the rain ring and now you must suffer. Do you have anything to say Amelia?" asked the king. "Your majesty, I will face anything you say because I have done very wrong." said Amelia. "Very well then. I order Amelia to be sentenced to death." "Your highness..." interrupted the vizier"It is against our traditions to kill a women by the king or by his command. The blood pf a women must not spill on our kingdom as it will make it impure." "Okay then. Amelia, one of the knights in the kingdom of Nottingham, I order you to go to the distant lands and ask the mysterious creatures to make the rain ring." "Yes your majesty"said Amelia. The girl has heard about the distant lands. He who ventures there has never returned. It is believed that the distant lands are guarded by the 'xeneth' the destroyer of all. All those who have seen it has never returned. But for the sake of kingdom and to prove her loyalty, she must do it. She decides to leave at dawn, acompanied by her two trusty knight friends. She prepares herself for the most dangerous adventures in her life, to face the most mysterious things in the quest of the rain ring. The girl knows that she may not return. But she is not afraid, because she is The Great Knight of Nottingham.
