"Attorney, I need Florence to bring back my money!!"
"Sir Mendez It will be difficult to locate her since she got out of the countryā¦ We have a lesser chance on bringing back your moneyā¦"
"Is there anything we can do to locate her? I'm sure she used her passport while fleeing"
"Sir, she took off using a private plane and passed the ports back doorā¦ we can't locate her as of the momentā¦"

This is frustrating!!! after trusting her with all that I have?! She dared to leave me alone? Damn it!!!
I went home to my family's villa hoping they could help me outā¦ I know we've cut ties but they're my familyā¦

I stood near at the entrance
10 minutes
30 minutes
"Oh? is it going to rain?" the shop's closing early? Oh noā¦
I checked the weather forecast it seems like a typhoon just entered the country
"Is he gonna come?" I looked around but he's nowhere to be found
Then it started raining really hard
"damn I don't have my umbrella, he'll probably be here soon, right?"
An hour passed
The second hour passed
Then a guy came in front of meā¦
"Yuanā¦"
"I guess you're stupid!! why'd you still wait here? You should've left when I didn't come!!!"
"But you're here"
"So, what is it you're going to tell me? this better be importantā¦"
"Yuan, I like you for 6 years now, I like you when you were still a junior in business management department, I recently just had the------"
"Cut the crap outā¦ are you one of those pick-up girls who hit on rich people?!? I'm so done with you girls you only want money and fame from your partners!!!"
He grabbed my shoulders tight and forcefully kissed me it was rough and harsh I was pinned to the wall as he tried to kiss me more and held my waist so I couldn't move.
I couldn't stand it!! this hurts me as a person so much!!! He tried to touch some sensitive part but before he could do that, I slapped him!!!
"Hey!! What's wrong with you isn't this what you wanted?! Huh?!!! I'm just giving it to you!! Do you feel offended that we're doing this on the street!?! You want me to book a room?!?"

He took his wallet and threw some money at my face

He left without looking back, I don't know I'd be hurt this bad, left in the rain by someone I thought was a nice person. I stood there crying for 5 whole hours drenched and felt lost, he screamed, he said things that I thought I wouldn't hear from the man I like. That was even my first kiss and he stole it from me, it's not heart fluttering at all, I hated it to the point I feel so ridiculed and smallā¦
Then, I heard my phone ringing
"Hello?"
"I'll be right thereā¦"
I started driving hurriedly but I felt dizzyā¦ the road isā¦ I can't see wellā¦ Something flashed!! The lights are so bright!!!!

I turned around and left, luckily the car was right on timeā¦
I went immediately to the company, 'cause there's no room for rest. I was walking at the lobby where my secretary was waiting.
"I heard that he resigned?"

"The Management Director I hired 5 months ago!!! Who else?!?"

I opened the envelope of his resignation letter

I haven't been really practicing actively as a lawyer but I do accept special cases and pro bonos from time to time. I became a prosecutor for 3 years- a year after I passed the bar exam while continuing to manage our business. As the business got bigger, I thought of giving up being a prosecutor to concentrate on my family's business. But I just couldn't leave my first love, being a lawyer.
"Is the conference room ready?"

I head to the conference room to discuss about the new hotel we're about to openā¦
"Has anyone got better ideas than this trash?!?!" I threw the proposal to the table
"I gave you guys a month for this project, yet you'll give me trash?!?!!"

"I'm not investing my money on you people, just so you could give me crapā¦ I'm giving you all 72 hours to come up with a good launching project for the hotelā¦ It'd better be good this timeā¦"

The Office has been a chaos for days since I told them to repeat the proposal, I guess they haven't gone home yet since the last meeting we had.

"Miss Ivy this is from Zhen Interiors we are at your Hotel and we're planning some modifications in the interior, is it fine with you to come here to check on our new proposal?"
"I'll be right over, give me an hourā¦"
I was heading to the VIP parking of my building to get my car.
"Miss Ivy! Miss Ivy!"

"These are the applicants for the new management directorā¦"
"I'm in a hurry, go pick from one of the three make sure that he has the best credentials and background then let her sign the contract first and make her come to our new hotel, within 2 hoursā¦ tell her not to be lateā¦"

I took off and reached the Hotel within 45 minutes
"Miss Ivy!! I'm so glad to see youā¦"
"Madame Ynna are you here to supervise your staffs?"
"Well yes this is our biggest project for this year! Thank you for choosing us anywayā¦"
"Miss Ivy shall we proceed with our new proposal?"
"Of courseā¦"
"So were planning to use some modern chandeliers instead of antique-looking ones it makes the hotel look fancierā¦ We have also collaborated with In-Tech to automate some room functions for the presidential and VIP rooms, we will also include your officeā¦"
"This proposal is great I love it"
"Miss Ivy we will be sending new designs of the rooms and the lobby on your Email"
"Okay, I'll be looking forward to that" we all stood up and shook hands
"Miss Ivy would you mind having a cup of coffee with us"
"I'm sorry but I have to excuse myself I have to meet my new Management Director (MD) today"
"Oh, well we have some other time, right?"
"Of courseā¦" I smiled
So, I'm waiting at the hotel for the new MD.
"I was pretty sure that I told you to send him within 2 hours, right?!?!" I was talking at the phone with my secretary
"Yes miss, he left the office after signing a 1 year contract with us, he should be there in a minute"
"I hate employees who are late always lateā¦ call him, and tell him to hurry up unless he wants to get fired!!!"
"Yes missā¦"
I ended the call and waited at the unfinished lobby of the Hotel
"Hello, I'm your New Management Directorā¦"
I faced the guy who was talking, and I wasn't expecting he would be hereā¦
"Miss Yin Lee?"
"Who are you? You said?" I asked
"Are you the Owner of the Lotus group of companies?"
"Yes, I amā¦"
"I-I am Yuan Mendez the newly hired MD, you are Yin Ivy Lee, right?"
"You're fired!!" I walked out
"Hey!!! You can't just fire me!! Hey wait!!" he grabbed my arm
"Let goā¦"
"I'm sorry, Well you can't just fire me, I mean you just hired me and I just signed a contract, it states here you can't fire me unless you have reasonable grounds to do so and we just met and I haven't done anything yetā¦ perhaps you know well about the contract because you're a lawyer anywayā¦."
"Fine! I can't fire youā¦ You're rightā¦ report at my office tomorrow, 7 am sharpā¦"
I turned around and walked away
"Yin!"
I stopped walking but I didn't face him
"One more thingā¦ I am your boss, I'll be the one paying you, don't you think its right to address me accordingly?"
"Five years ago, I'm really sorry about thatā¦"
"I don't need any apology, you're too lateā¦"
I left him at the building and I went home and I called Loren to tell her what just happened. I found out that a month after he saw me, he left for the US to work there and only returned after 5 years, eventually he hasn't been in contact with his family and he was on his own. Even when he was in the US, he wasn't able to recover his status that's when he came to apply for our company.
