It is about time for Corbin Taylorsville to announce his date on the upcoming Acquaintance Party this month of August. Everyone is so excited including Crystal, especially Crystal. Corbin has been Crystal's ultimate crush since highschool. Now that they're in college, it seems like her feelings for him have grown even bigger. Could it still be just a simple infatuation or could it be something more?
Crystal's POV
I can see him across the stage hoping he'd see me too. With all the other girls wearing their beautiful and sparkly dresses, I can't help but wonder, could a guy like him ever notice a girl like me? How could he anyway? I am not that special.
When Corbin is about to speak, the crowd went silent. Corbin takes a deep breath.
"Pick me Corbin!" one of the girls screamed and the crowd went crazy again.
There are so many people already, pushing and pulling each other. I decided to walk away from the crowd.
As soon as I found my way out, I felt a gentle touch of someone's palm in my arm.
I turn around to see who the person is.
The lights are blinding and I barely see the man wearing a coat and tie in front of me.

The loud music stopped, so did the crowd.
The three gigantic spotlights pointed in our direction. It is the perfect opportunity to see who the man is and also the perfect opportunity to see Corbin Taylorsville, face to face in front of me, holding my hand.
He seems nervous.
Never have I ever seen him looked so tense before.
I can feel my temperature rising and my cheeks turning red.
"Could it be?" I think to myself.
I couldn't believe my own eyes when I saw him standing in front of me while holding my hands but most of all, I couldn't believe what he had to say next.
"Will you be my date?" Corbin asked as if he was dying to hear me say yes.
