"To my one and only daughter " Dad announces proudly and clinks his glass with ours . Dad hosted a big party for me and Keira on the ceremony of our graduation. The last year has been the best year of my life . We went on vacations and well Mum and Dad have been too loud like too loud . During breakfast I just smirk at them . Things have turned to be normal.
"Thanks Dad " I just lean into him . I opted for a silver dress . Mom made my hair into loose curls and pinned some of them back that is giving me a chic look and has made me to the topic of the grandiose event.
The party goes on and on . I didn't notice Mom and Dad are not in the party . The door to the terrace is open I enter and see Mom and Dad talking.
"Eden , we need to see her safety in London . Not just hers but also Keira. Though she's not my daughter , still being an aunt makes me a sort of mother for her . " .
"Don't worry Krys I'll have Marcus and Liam after them in London they're going to be their kind of guards in London " Dad takes the sip of the bubbling sparkling liquid .
I cough and draw their attention , slowly I walk over to Dad and hug his middle from his side with my heels I reach almost his nose . His arm automatically covers my shoulder and he smiles down at me .
"Mom , I don't need security .I am not a star or a famous personality . I am just going to study there" I huff out .
"Yes , you need Baby I cannot mess with your security " She sips her wine .
"Why ?" I ask .
"Because you're Business tycoon Eden Danbury's daughter Valentine Danbury " her gaze flitts between me and Dad. In the last year my parents have spoiled me bad like really bad .
That's what has been happening these days . I can be adamant on that fact but I know she's right .
"Fine . " I sigh dramatically.
"Where's everyone" Keiraenters the terrace and turns away to go when Mom stops her . She's still a little uncomfortable around my parents.
"Yes aunt " she turns back .
"Come here Keira we need to talk to you about something " Mom opens her arms and swallows her . Keira has tears in her eyes .
"First from now on you'll call me Krystal and Eden as uncle coz he's old" she chuckles making Keira stiffle a sob .
"I'm not old . Am I Val ?" Dad looks at me making me laugh .
"No you're not an old man " I pat his chest which is till ripped at forty nine .
"So back to Keira . As you and Val will go to London most probably Kingston we need to arrange security " The situation is serious .
"You'll don't need to uncle Its fine . Seriously" she immediately say.
"Yes we need to Keira " He's acting all fatherly towards my sister and I've seen him taking care of Keira . Last year during the winter show of her dance class . Mom and Dad went to the event . Though it was an utter shock for us initially but it subsided and we also went to the dinner after that.
"Can I ask for something . You don't have to if you don't want " she speaks with hesitation.
"Say Keira . ?" Mom nudges her to speak with a sweet smile .
"Can I call you'll Mom and Dad " She speaks with tears flowing down her cheeks .
"Oh my god ! Yes you can . Keira . I'm so happy Eden " Mom has tears of happiness in her eyes .
"Keira . You made me so happy " Dad hugs her on the other side .
"We're one happy family " . Keira says in a teary voice .
"Let's go out before anyone else comes in to find us " Mom and Dad leave first after a fit of giggle followed by us .
The party went on and on . Three days later our results were out . Since the legal work was finalized Keira lived with us now . Today's the day of our result . I'm so anxious that I am just picking my food. Looking across even Keirais just picking her food .
"Lovies you both will rock " Mom puts some more pasta for Keiraand me .
"Okay , it's already time . Let's see" I get up followed by Keira.
After all of us settled in the living room . Keira by Dad and me by Mom .
"First you " I ask Keira .
"No you " Keira tells me.
"You , please " I literally ask her dramatically .
"Please Val " She bats her eyelashes.
"Oh c'mon you two do it together okay" . Dad chuckles making Mom laugh .
"Fine " both me and Keira reply in unison . Moments pass .
"I'm in " I say and hug mom and dad .
"Keira baby you ?" Dad asks her .
"I'm in too " She hugs Dad fiercely and Mom too .
"It's time for celebration. " Dad calls in for the special old wine .
"To my two beautiful daughters . Valentine and KeiraDanbury " We clink our glasses and finish our drinks.
"So when do you'll leave " Dad ask two weeks later as he walks into the living room dressed up for work.
"Tomorrow Dad" Keiraspeaks before me . It still brings a smile to our lips whenever Keira calls Dad Dad .
"Well then pack your bags fast . " He ushers us to our room . We pack our bags with whatever we want and then ask mom to send us the remaining .
It's eight in the evening when Dad comes in with two men behind him . They can hardly be over twenty four .
"Dad " I run to Dad followed by Keira.
"Babies " He hugs us both and kiss our heads .
"Home darling " Mom comes out and hugs Dad . These have become a ritual .
"All good . This is Liam " he points to one of the guys "and this is Marcus " he points to another handsome man .
"Marcus will be your assistant Keira and Liam will be yours " He says and slips his hand around Mom's waist .
Where Liam is all blonde hair and dark eyes , Liam is blue eyed like us and his facial features are cold . He has brown hair and both are tall and built . Too handsome to be guards .
"Okayy" I say and extend my hand for a handshake . He looks at my hand and then at me . I cock my head to the left . He looks at Dad and shakes my hand .
"Well you can guard me outside Kings but not inside and the car will be parked at a little distance ".
He just gives me a curt nod and walk out with Marcus . Keira leans in and whispers "He's hot and sex on stick " I giggle and look at her bursting into a fit of giggle .
