Stuck inside a cave, being some meters below the surface, right underneath a sewer. There weren't any visible exits, I scanned around the place I was, I touched the walls that surrounded me, but there wasn't nowhere I could break, or connect with the cave I was. The only way out was... Right above me.
"Darwin, how much mana do I have in my core?" I asked through my subconsciousness to him, although it gave me a strange feeling. It was like a headache but it was painless, it just bothered me a bit, so I was preferred to talk with him out loud, even so, my voice was failing and interfering our conversation. "The minimum, sir. The amount of metal and the other resources needed requires a lot of mana to be produced."
The minimum? Holy shit, this Skill sucks when it comes to regeneration. "Darwin, deactivate the regeneration of everything, if I'm awake, it means I don't need to fix anything... Well, at least for now." I said while leaning into a wall, slowly falling and then sitting on the ground. "Nobody have even gotten to explore this cave, nor its surroundings. If they did, I would've got out of here ages ago. Like... Look at this!" I said, extending my arm, holding a shiny stone with difficulty because of my flawed fingers and raising it at the height of my eyes. "It's a diamond! They would've gotten rich if they had found me." I said while looking at that gemstone.
"It is just a normal crystal, sir." Darwin told me, making my happiness blow away, transforming my smile in a pokerface. "Of course I knew that, Darwin. It was just a joke." I said while crossing my arms. I heard Darwin laughing because of me, but I just ignored him and look at the ceiling above me. "Is my Skill Mana Storage active?" I asked him, hoping it would facilitate thinga for me. "No, sir. Passive Skills aren't working right now because of your body condition." I stood in silence for some seconds, looking at the ceiling. "Understood, just tell me when the core storage is, at least, half filled."
I remained in the same positioned as before, I always had to be pacient, even though my work normally had a lot of explosions and fights, sometimes I would need some pacience so I don't fuck the whole plan up. I didn't know what to think about while I waited my mana replenish itself, my mind was always empty but, at the same time, full of thoughts. It was confusing to explain, I never could really say what this feeling was.
A couple of hours after I gave Darwin a command, he told me that my core was at half of its capacity, just like I asked before. "Right... I'm going to use Acceleration on my left arm. Its damage is way lower than the right one." Due to my body's left side being less damaged before I "died" years ago, it should probably be as good as new. "Darwin, the sewer's water is running above me, there is no way I can avoid its fall through the hole I'll make. Once I open it, move all of the Acceleration to my legs before the water fills this pit."
[Skill Acceleration is being activated on the left arm.]
This warning showed up on my screen, so I stood up, rotating my arm as if I was stretching my arms, despite the fact I didn't have anything to stretch, it was just a habit of mine. Once my Skill was ready to be used, I punched in the direction of the ceiling above me, with a velocity that no normal human would be able to follow with its eyes, creating a hole through it.
However, the strength I exerted made vision get even more messy and my eardrums ring. What the fuck was that? My body was THAT fragile? I staggered from side to side while my eyes moved from corner to corner until I stabilized myself in place, steadily postioning myself to jump through the hole.
The Skill was activated on my legs, so I jumped through the pit I made before, reaching the water at the sewer on the top. I avoided being carried away by its flow and got out through one of the walkways that existed on the sides of where the water ran through. Then, I noticed a strange and incomodating sound invading my ears, it was a siren, they noticed an invasion on the sewage system. Apparently, I'd start my new life as criminal.
