After a series of back and forth argument Alex finally yielded into Alice's begging. Since Alex barely ever wore anything which might attract attention, Alice took it upon herself to pick out some nice outfits so before Alex could argue about it she dashed out heading straight for her own room. 'It's gonna be a long and harsh day' Alex thought to herself as she watched her friend running for a life towards her room while giggling like the maniac she is.
When Alice finally came back with their outfits they both got changed. Alex wore a white layered sheer dress with embroidered daisies stopping right above her knees, her long black hair pulled back into a messy bun, white sneakers ending with some clear lip balm which only further enhanced her pink tinted lips whereas Alice was shorter than Alex so she went for a sleeveless cotton crop top with baby blue pleated skirt , a white lace choker with a tiny silver star hanging in the middle, her mid length brunette hair tied up into a ponytail, white pumps and a summer make up look giving the illusion of seemingly being a tad bit taller than usual. but of course, just an illusion...
Alice looked over at Alex and boasted how she had such very brilliant knowledge of fashion, she could even become a professional stylist for the royal family. But no sooner than she did so, she remembered that Alex had previously argued back to her that they were out of stock which meant that they had nothing to display at the Fair and as soon as this thought dawned upon her, Alice fidgeted as she started panicking and pacing in circles around the dining table while Alex just looked at her with a meaningful gaze trying hard to suppress her laugh.....in which she was failing horribly if I may add.
When Alex couldn't hold her laughter any longer, she just gave up and had a hearty laugh by herself. As soon as Alice heard her laughing, she snapped her head in her direction presumably giving her a 'what in the world is wrong with u' look.
"I'm panicking over here and you find it funny Alex? Am I the only one worried what the supervisor is gonna think of us when we show up without any flowers for display??", she ended with a huff. As the words left her mouth, Alex straightened up, looked at Alice dead in the eyes and said, " Well, first of all, YOU of all people should be worried since I wasn't the one who booked the stall in advance without prior notice to the partner, ME. Second of all, I would have said something if you just stopped pacing around and actually cared to listen to me..." hearing this Alice thought that she should say something in her defense, "BUT I-", before she could end her sentence Alex rebutted, "No buts. It is the undeniable truth", embarrassed as she thought back to her actions Alice dropped her eyes to the floor and whispered a small apology. Then she sat down on one of the chairs, posed like she I attentively listening and gestured for her to continue. Seeing this Alex sighed to herself as she said, "As I was saying, before I was rudely interrupted, it is true that some mistakes have been made but there is always a solution. I indeed say that we 'were' out of stock but that was before you went out to get some outfits for us. After you left I received some calls from two of our clients and it seems they have some issues on their side so they wanted to know if they could postpone the order for the next 3 month till further notice to which I have already agreed to if you don't mind and last but not least, yes Alice, it was kind of funny...to me". When the words finally settled in Alice pulled Alex into her embrace and yelled, "WHICH MEANS WE HAVE HALF A STOCK READY TO DISPLAY AT THE FAIR,YAYY!!!"
"Oh Alex, my lucky charm! what would I ever do without you?" Alice screamed as hugged the life out of her. Meanwhile Alex thought to herself, 'for a lady with a smaller frame than most, she sure has the strength of a bear'. Thinking this she looked down to her friend but found that she was already looking up to her with a big goofy grin. '....but I guess that just adds to her happy-go-lucky persona...' Alex ended her mental evaluation of her tiny friend and then they both set out for the main city after collecting the stocks.
