Kelly breaks it all down.
She and Holly moved twice to stay hidden. She was terrified the press would get hold of the story and think it was mine. Holly was amazing—not surprising, though I was going to have words with her for not telling me so I could have helped with money at least.
When she first found out, she talked to a lawyer. Asked him to be really honest with her about the chances of winning a lawsuit.
"It was…Crash, it was horrible," she said, swallowing like she felt sick. "He was a nice guy. I could tell he felt bad for me. But I told him to be brutally honest, and he was. He said there were a lot of options. They could DNA test the baby—or the remains, if I got an a-abortion. They could find the father that way. But then he admitted that finding the dad wasn't the hard part.
