Crash
She wasn't moving from my touch. She was really here. Her eyes were bright, even though I could see the tension in her. I couldn't believe she was here. I couldn't believe I hadn't kissed her yet.
She swallowed audibly, then said, "I think we should sit."
I nodded and, taking her hand and lacing our fingers, led her over to the large, leather couch a few feet away. We both sat down facing the mirror, but I turned immediately, still holding her hand, and pulled a knee up so I could watch her face. Her beautiful face. She was here. And she was talking. She wasn't running.
