"You remember that night of the concert, when I ran?" I ask Tommy quietly.
"Of course."
"Well, the night before that . . . something happened. I was . . . I was raped. That's when Tom happened." Tommy's face pales. I expect to start crying, or have one of those panic attacks where I want nothing more than to get away from him—like I used to with the Therapist Holly got for me. But now the time has come, I find myself cold. Kind of numb. Like I can talk about it without feeling it. Which is weird. It took me months to even say the word the first time. Now I'm just going to hang it out there?
"Are you serious?" Tommy whispers.
I just nod, because I don't want to say it again.
"Who?" he croaks. "Where? How?"
