Chapter 11 - Chapter 10

Everybody had packed. The suitcases arranged in order, seeing it broke everyone's heart. They knew well, how the days spent together are never going to come back! Miranda, only one to remain in the city, her heart was aching, thinking of splitting up from her best friends. The four girls had been through many thick and thin times together sticking like a gum remembering how important every moment was for them, coming from different backgrounds yet bonded like sisters. This was Miranda's first-ever real friendship. They didn't agree with Miranda choosing to work over pursuing higher studies and they joined different universities in different cities. The boys, five of them, placed in different companies. Each was from different departments and three were seniors to them yet the gang enjoyed the most in the whole college. There were none in college who didn't know them. They called themselves 'The A-Team'.

Sasha, Miranda, Fanny, and Bonnie got together since the fresher's day, being roommates. Bonnie was in the same class as Miranda but Sasha was in Chemistry and Fanny in History. The four put on their best outfits and waited for the guys to get ready. The girls and the boys' hostel were at the two ends of the college and yet many things happened inside the campus sneaking in and out of the dorms.

"I can't believe this is the last day we will be spending here," Bonnie said.

"I can't believe I have to live in the room alone till I move to my studio," Miranda said almost tearing up. She felt too hurt at the thought of her friends leaving and also feeling guilty that she couldn't tell her friends about her new relationship with her boss, Darren. Afraid they would tear her into pieces for choosing work over her dream, she decided to not tell them until she got used to working after the internship.

"Okay, let's head out," Sasha told them checking her phone.

"Are the boys here?" Fanny asked her. And Sasha nodded. They stood at the door holding each other and looked at the room for one last time before they took their luggage and left.

They vacated the hostel except for Miranda who would stay for the next day and drove straight to the hotel they booked for lunch. Everyone was taking the bus to their homes after 8 at night.

"Hey silly," Peter called Miranda. Her dearest friend among all in the gang.

"Shut up," she said back. They walked into the restaurant together. A large table was arranged for them. The food began to be served soon after they settled in. The table filled with different cuisine. From sushi, grilled chicken, soda, steak, rice, wine, various salads, fish, and live barbeque, they had ordered everything they could see on the menu to enjoy the last lunch together until next time. They had fun tasting many foods and As usual, the joked and mocked each other. Eating and laughing together, Time flew. It was already 3.30 p.m. as they finished lunch and got out.

"We have still got a couple more hours," Ronald, the senior in the gang said. Can we hit the club?"

"What if I miss the bus?" Sasha asked.

"Then I would be glad," Miranda joked.

"We won't, don't worry?" Bonnie told Sasha hitting Miranda lightly. They walked to the nearest club around the corner. And they were given entry after all the confirmation and gave space to keep their luggage. They made sure they didn't order any hot beverages and ordered more and more flavored soda can as they danced. An hour later, exhausted, Miranda took a seat at the one corner of the club and ordered a beer. She badly wished to get drunk and not feel anything. The bartender gave her two instead of one and she drank them all at once. Being a real bad drinker, she never touched alcohol. But she broke her limits for the day and ordered vodka next. As she took two-shot, someone came and sat beside her. She looked up at the person, trying to focus, opening her eyes and wondering for a minute.

Hello, Miranda! Remember me?" she stared at him for a second while that person sat smiling at her, watching her.
