Kira's point of view
"Sweetie, I'm so sorry for being late. Please forgive this pitiful little girl and spare her." I apologetically said to my one and only, best friend.
Shey Anne Smith, half Witch, half Fairy, with Dragon blood. Wanna how she got so many breeds? She was experimented on, along with me and two other boys, we couldn't have contact anymore though.
"Seriously, Kiriana, where have you been? And what's that you're holding?" She narrowed her eyes at me and then at the paper bag in my hands. I sat down the seat opposite to her.
"I....ummm....kinda....broke...my, uh....phone?" I awkwardly responded, a layer of cold sweat forming on my forehead.
"Kira Stone, why and how did you, break your phone again?" She asked me, her voice dangerously low.
"The alarm was too annoying, ok? I got pissed off and lost control." I desperately tried explaining myself to at least escape from the hell that's about to befall upon me.
"Look, I'm sorry, ok?" I helplessly stated to her.
"Didn't we talk about this? Self control, remember?" Unexpectedly, she let me off this time. 'I wonder what she ate before this? Or is she planning something?' I shuddered at the thought.
We went to a nearby table and placed our belongings there and then headed to the cashier where we both ordered pancakes, I also had coffee and she had hot chocolate. After getting our orders, we headed to our table and then chatted about stuff while eating.
"Kiri, when do you plan on going back?" She asked me in the middle of our conversation.
"What do you mean, Shey?" I responded.
"You've been taking a leave for 2 weeks already. When are you coming back to the organization? You have a lot of tasks waiting for you." She explained while spreading butter on a piece of pancake.
"I'm coming back tomorrow, I guess?" I replied, not quite sure of my answer.
"Why can't you come back today?" She whined.
"I don't want to. Yet. Just let me come back tomorrow, kay? I want just one more free day." I replied.
"Anyway, I also took a leave today." She casually said.
That simple sentence left me extremely shocked. That was the scariest thing I have ever heard of in 6 months, the last time I got shocked was 6 months ago when I heard that she won't be going abroad anymore to study.
"But, I feel like one of them is...." She stated with a that smile on her face.
'Oh no, I know that smile of hers. She's planning something' I thought to myself.
"What on earth are you planning this time?" I asked her while taking a sip of my coffee.
"Nothing, I mean, we'll see if it actually works out." She said with a small smile plastered on her lips.
"What do you mean by 'if it actually works out'?" I asked her suspiciously.
