Hearing her say these words, Jamil huffed, "You knew that I wouldn't follow them."
However, instead of seeing exasperation, he was surprised to see her smile with a sly smirk on her face, "And?"
A bad premonition washed over him as he thought about this and instantly realized what she basically meant by this. Confused, Kalim looked to her in confusion as Jamil heaved a sigh of exasperation. Rather annoyed by the sudden revelation, Jamil stared at her with annoyance as Kalim muttered in confusion, "Hm? You told him to take mint when you knew Jamil wouldn't listen to you? What's wrong? Why mint?"
Lotus smirked, "Who knows... But, maybe you can figure that out later by yourself."
Jamil frowned, "That's enough... Is that all?"
Lotus nodded her head with a wide smile as she teased, "I mean, if I actually give you advice, would you listen to me? There's a reason why I would rather treat those that actually wants to be treated."
Hearing this, Jamil glanced back briefly with a smirk, "And, how do you deal with those that don't?"
Hearing this, she shrugged with a sneer as she sneered, "Since, it's not my role to treat them. Healing only works when the other side wants to recover. Why should I care about those people?"
"That's rather irresponsible of you?" Jamil huffed, "Aren't you suppose to be a nurse?"
Lotus laughed, "What can I do now that I'm a student and the nurse's assistant here? Besides... Can it really be said that I didn't do anything to help?"
Jamil scowled but didn't say anymore and dragged Kalim away this time. Lotus watched them as they hurried away shutting the door behind them.
"See ya, Lotus!" Kalim called out as the door closed behind them.
Watching the two walk away, Chili hopped out of her pocket and onto her shoulder before she washed her hands and stuffed the bird back into her jacket pocket, "You should fly around in the nurse's office. It's unsanitary conduct... Especially bringing an animal into the nurse's office... Right? Mo Li?"
Sitting the in nurse's office, she carefully brought out the item from her ring once more. However, instead of a book this time, it was that old scroll. She laid out the scroll in her small array and began to read to herself quietly in the silence of the room.
.....
"Stop that!"
As the snow continued to pile high into the mounds around the building, a familiar person that rushed past the school courtyard and into the halls. It was then, that he heard a door slam and turned curiously in confusion. As there was no school in session now, he was dressed in his dorm uniform this time. Now, he wears a long, furisode-like indigo robe which drags on the floor, and has high slits in the sleeves. The inner fabric is red with a regal pattern displaying the Beautiful Queen's famed poison apple. An intricate golden design bearing a poisoned apple pierced by a sword is also printed on the right shoulder of his robe. His dorm's Emblem. With a handful of colorful ribbons in one hand, they could easily see nails that are painted indigo, and he put up his hair in an updo. Reaching out to the air with the other hand, he wears a tighter, black long-sleeved garment beneath the slits of his sleeves. His sleeves form a pointed shape on the back of his hand and tie around his middle fingers. Beneath the slits of his sleeves, he wears a tighter, black long-sleeved garment. His sleeves form a pointed shape on the back of his hand and tie around his middle fingers.
This man was chasing after a couple of birds that was fluttering in the sky with a gold crown that depicted the same emblem in the air. With a scowl in dismay, he tried to use his pen once more, but it failed again with no reaction. He cursed under his breath and looked up in defeat. The birds had already flown to the corner with his golden crown and showed no signs of returning it!
"Pardon me. Is something the matter?"
Surprised by the voice, he turned around and saw a strange woman in a pretty white and yellow silk brocade with a strawhat decorated with white veil. The man narrowed his eyes in confusion when he saw this.
"Um, yes." The man responded in confusion, "There are a couple of birds that had taken away my crown."
"Your crown?"
"It's the crown dorm leaders of Pomefiore passes down to the next dorm leader." The man explained.
The woman looked up curiously and saw the two little birds. She quietly stretched out her hand from behind the veil revealing the smooth clear skin free of any blemishes and decorated with a single jade bracelet. However, it was the hand that caught the man's attention. It was clear and moisturized. Not cracked nor greased.
The man frowned and was at a loss for words. He had never seen such beautiful skin like this before!
"Stop fooling. You're troubling others now. If you bully others, they'll hate you for it and come after you." The woman responded in a soft voice, "Come..."
The bird thought for a bit quietly before flying to her hands and placing the crown into her open palm. The gust of wind from their flapping wings slightly shifted the veil as the person could see a small portion of her face and was left stupefied!
The woman stretched out another hand allowing the birds to perch themselves onto her palm before she handed the crown to the young man politely, "Here it is, sir. Please forgive the birds. They have become bored and wanted to poke some fun. However, they seem to have played around too much this time and did not understand the importance of your belonging."
"A-Ah..." The person nodded his head awkwardly, "I-It's all right. They didn't damage the crown at least. Just don't do it again."
"Thank you..." The woman responded with a cute and polite nod before turning to the birds, "Off you go now. Do not play around like this again."
The birds seemingly nodded their heads and flew away out of the halls. The woman turned to him and asked, "Then, I too shall take my leave."
She then turned and made her way to leave the halls.
"Wait!" The man called out to her hurriedly, "May I ask you something, miss?"
The woman paused in her faint steps and turned around to face his quietly, "Yes?"
"Your hand... Can you tell me where you get your hand cream from?" He questioned curiously.
The woman paused seemingly confused, "My... hand cream?"
"Yes." The man responded rather troubled, "I've been trying to find a recipe that could make moisturize my skin, but I'm stuck. I noticed that your skin is well cared for, so I would like to know where you get your hand cream from."
The woman thought for a bit before responding, "That's no problem. However, you may find my answer very disappointing..."
"Really?"
The woman nodded her head, "You see, I made this hand cream myself."
"Yourself?" The man looked to her in surprise, "Um. Can I buy the recipe from you?"
"That's..."
"Big Sister!"
They looked up in surprise and saw a young girl in a brown gown and bare feet running over to them. Her wavy brown hair flew through the air as she ran over to her. However, that wasn't want surprised the young man. Rather his eyes were left on the girl's set of wavy black horns on top of her head! The girl was fair skinned with rosy lips and a set of brilliant green eyes. She ran over to them and noticed the young man before a frown rose to her lips as she looked to him with dissatisfaction, "What are you doing with him, Big Sister?"
"That's..." The woman hesitated, "I-I was looking for you, but a couple of birds were playing pranks on him. So..."
"So you went to help him?" The girl guessed with a sigh, "Oh, big sister. You don't have to help anyone you don't like."
You don't like? The man looked to her in confusion as the little girl continued, "Besides, he isn't polite at all and haven't introduced himself to you. Why should you be polite to him? Just let him go after the birds himself."
"This!" The man frowned when he heard these words.
"As I thought," The girl sighed with a worried look on her face, "Your too kind for your own good, big sister!"
As he thought to himself carefully, he sighed and responded, "I'm sorry. I didn't introduce myself earlier. I'm Vil Schoenheit. I'm the dorm leader of Pomefiore dorm. May I ask for your name?"
The little girl huffed in dismay, "So know you want to give her your name? Are you that desperate for the recipe? If she hadn't shown her hand, would you be that humble to her?"
The little girl grabbed the woman's hands and pulled her away, "Come on, Big Sister! You don't have to give your attention to that guy! Let's go somewhere else!"
"Ah, wait!" Vil called out to the girls as he reached out a hand.
