Chapter 18 - A New Change

As Mr. Goblin awoke he immediately thought about food. He could easily snatch the scampering ghosts for a quick meal, but he thought for some reason that was bad. As he went and joined in on the gobbling of the shrooms. As he began to satiate himself, all the small goblins stopped eating. As he finished, they resumed. What an odd bunch. The grey ghost was physically larger and therefore, entitled himself to an extra shroom. Such is life for a goblin.

As he looked around the room at his fellow tribe mates, he felt good. He was big, nowhere as big as the guardian, but the other goblins all were smaller than him. He contented himself and grabbed 6 mushrooms, much more than the average goblin would need at his age, but he was an ash goblin. He was about to finish his last shroom, when he noticed a bright eyed goblin that looked hungry. Much in a similar dilemma as Mr. Goblin, he decided to share his shrooms. As unlike the Isolated and confused Mr. Goblin, he received his intinctial instruction merely from the presence of his elder. He understood hierarchy, along with many other useful things. Like for example, how effective fighting is, when there is more than one goblin. Today he shall give one mushroom, but tomorrow in a potential battle the mushroom coul be worth his very life. (See how dumb Mr. Goblin compared to them?)
