Chapter 74 - Strange Painting

They reach a huge room as they come downstairs from the secret door. It was a huge room full of old artifacts and crates.

"This place is big," said Schaffe.

"Well, how do we know what is here?" asked Jonathan. "It would take a while."

"Look," said Jay. He goes to a desk where they see a book on it that says Inventory.

"Oh, they wrote down here," said Schaffe. They open the book and look through it.

"How do we know if we find something that could help us?" asked Jonathan.

"That is a good fact right there," said Schaffe. Jay keeps flipping through till he finds a page with a letter stuffed between the pages addressed to Schaffe.

"What this? It's a letter to you Lord Frye," said Jay.

"What?" questioned Schaffe. He takes it from Jay and opens it and begins to read it.

"So, is it from?" asked Jonathan.

"My father," said Schaffe as he took the letter and put it away. "But he has given us a clue on what to find." They begin to follow him to a part of the Frye Secret Armory.

They come across what looks like a long sword it has a black blade with a sharp white edge a red bird wing as a guard and a black hilt.

"What is this blade?" asked Jonathan.

"This is my birthright the Frye ancient treasure, Durandal, The sword that slays the wicked," said Schaffe.

"It's a legendary weapon," said Jonathan. "This could aid us."

"yes, there are other weapons that could help us down here as well," said Schaffe. "Now, we prepare to fight for humanity's side of Fantasia."

They meet up with Liam and Alucard that night in the Church the usual place to meet and they bring them weapons from the Armory for them. Alucard had Durandal.

"This sword will benefit you more than me," said Schaffe.

"I will make sure not to let you down," said Alucard. Liam held a new halberd it was black with an axe and spear point. It had a skull design on the axe side.

"This here was once owned by a man named Abel Frye one of my ancestors during the Dark Age when demons were at their peak at coming here," said Schaffe.

"I hope to get rust out of it," said Liam, with a smile. Jonathan was carrying another saber with him it was a silver color with a golden edge.

"And it seems fancy sword has gotten your attention as well?" asked Schaffe.

"Yes, so I don't lose it again," said Jonathan. Schaffe held a sword with a red color for a blade in a black scabbard, The Sword of his father, James Frye, Excailpur.

"So, we have a job tonight it seems," said Schaffe.

"Oh, it has been quite a while since we had a job," said Alucard.

"So, what is the target?" asked Liam.

 "A painting," said Schaffe.

 "Come again?" asked Alucard.

"A painting," said Schaffe. "A client asked us to check out a painting that gives a bad aura."

"A lame job huh? I guess we can look at it quick," said Liam. They feel a demon presence near them coming in. They look and see Lucifer.

 "A demon?" questioned Alucard.

"No, please stand down, he is an ally," said Schaffe. "This is my uncle, Lucifer Black.

"I'm glad you managed to escape Mundus as well," said Jonathan.

"Yes, indeed, I was able to escape by another portal during the battle and Mundus has probably still waits for Fantasia to make his next move and Michael as well," said Lucifer.
