Chapter 68 - Sewers Of The Golden City

They walk through the sewers under the Golden City,

"At least Angels have a better smell than the people of London," said Schaffe.

"First off we need to find a way back to our world," said Jonathan. They travel through the sewer system when they see something unusual in the sewers when they see a young human girl wearing rags and do not see them.

"Is that a human child?" asked Schaffe.

"Why is she here?" questioned Jonathan. She sees them and starts to run away from them.

"We have to catch her she could help us figure stuff out," said Schaffe, they started to chase her down the sewer's tunnels.

They got to a room and the girl was at a dead end.

"We caught her," said Schaffe. Jonathan senses something and draws his sword as this ghost appears in front of them. It had a human-like body without legs. It has long-looking claws and no face. Jonathan slices it vertically in half killing it before it does anything to them or the child.

 "That was close," said Jonathan.

"Please, don't hurt me," said The Girl.

"Don't worry, we mean no harm," said Schaffe.

"Yes, we just need to know some information," said Jonathan.

"Wait, you no Angels," said The Girl.

"Why are you here a human child?" asked Schaffe.

"I am a slave, most of us humans are," said The Girl.

 "What, slaves?" questioned Jonathan.

"Yes, they say we must pay for our sins and most of us go and dig in the mines," said The Girl. "We live here in the sewers, We children do."

 "Bastards," said Schaffe,

"Do you know where we can return to our world?" asked Jonathan. "If we figure out how we can go back and forth we could help them leave this hell."

"Yes, we need to help these people," said Schaffe.

"If there anywhere you want to find on that it would be in the Grand Abbey," said The Girl.

"Alright, stick tight," said Schaffe. They leave and try to find the Grand Abbey.

They found the Grand Abbey in the Golden City they hid out of site where no one can see behind a building.

"This might be a problem for us to get in," said Schaffe.

"Indeed, I see a few guards," said Jonathan, They look and see a bunch of angel guards in golden armor.

"We can't rely on night it would be dark right now if it was," said Schaffe.

"Yeah, you're right, we need an opening," said Jonathan. They see a bunch of slaves pushing a cart for stuff going inside the Grand Abbey.

"Here are chances," said Schaffe. He generates a small black Voidless ball that he launches at one of the wheels, which knocks off the cart making them stop to fix it. They sneak onto the cart without them noticing them get in. But this was enough to help them sneak into the Grand Abbey.

They get inside wait for it to be clear and get out of the cart.

 "We got in," said Schaffe.

"Yes, but we are in the Lion's den, now," said Jonathan.

"We, just got to find our way home," said Schaffe.

"Yes, but what awaits here is a mysterious," said Jonathan.
