Third Person's POV (flashback)
"Destined...such a powerful destined."
"King, what are you saying?"
The king looked at the man who is standing also beside him. They are in the garden of the palace as they have been watching their wives who are happily having a conversation while on a bench.
"Your child and my child, they are destined to each other, Ryan...and they are not just ordinary destined, for even their powers are amazingly connected," he said what he had suddenly seen in his vision upon watching the two women who are both pregnant.
"My King, you know what, many Eldonians are now wondering to that kind of behavior of our Prince, for well, his power is Earth and Fire but how come he is more interested in appreciating the elements of wind and water?" the Queen amusingly told to his husband. Today, the kingdom is celebrating the fifth birthday of their only Prince wherein one of the events is the power exhibition in which the Eldonians are showing their powers in entertaining ways. And in that event, the Prince was seen as more interested in watching the performances of Eldonians who possess the powers of wind and water.
"Our child has been longing unknowingly to his destined, My Queen," the king uttered to his wife.
"Visit the Desiur Village and stay there for three days. Check their situations and report to me every problem they face that needs to be given action. That's your mission, elites," commanded by the King to the five Elites of the late generation.
"Prince!"
Vynth was injured by the one who led the Darkus at that time by attacking his chest which made him spit some blood. But that attacker was then killed by Heisen and Henric, making the remaining members of Darkus retreat.
"He is healing himself," Raiah, a healer and elite, told the King and Queen upon checking the situation of their son who has been resting unconsciously for three days.
"But how come?" the queen asked.
"Through someone. I assume he is trapped in his dreams or more like...his soul is traveling."
"That means he is meeting his destined," The King then said while giving meaningful look to Raiah.
"Son, you're now awake," the queen happily declared.
"Mother," he uttered as he made himself sit on the bed. The queen then helped her. "I'm okay now, Mother. But, how long I've been resting?"
"It's been six days, son."
"I see that you're now fully healed," the King told as the Prince then looked at him.
"But, I felt like I'm tired, Father."
"Did you dream of something, right?" the King asked.
Vynth then sighed as if he was frustrated. "Yeah, but, I can't recall them all."
Cleschia's POV
He is staring at me intently and so am I to him. We are like both predators who eye each other as prey. Ultimate destined? Are we destined? So, that means that this feeling we both feel is...
I immediately broke my gaze at him. Nang makaiwas ay ipinikit ko agad iyon, kasabay ng pamimilit na pakalmahin ang sarili ko. "Are you going to break up with her?" bulalas kong tanong sa kaniya, tinutukoy si Lemery.
"I need to."
"Don't."
"Cleschia." Sa pagbanggit niya ng pangalan ko ay mahihimigan mo talagang hindi ito makapaniwala sa agarang pagtutol ko.
"I might be the being you need, but the one whom you love, who owns your heart, definitely, it's Lemery. So, there's no need for you to end your relationship with her. Yes, we have connections, but those are intended only to gain benefits from each other. But, being in love, that is a different feeling and basically, the highest necessity for you and that is something—"
Natigilan ako na parang nagdadalawang-isip pa kung sakto nga ba ang sasabihin ko. "Something I could not give to you," may pagkalumanay kong pagtapos sa naging aking litanya.
After saying that, silence took over our moment.
"Shall we go now?" I broke the silence as I can't stay enough here due to this uncomfortable feeling.
"Uh, yeah." Nasilayan ko ang pagtayo niya mula sa pagkakahiga niya. Napatayo na rin ako.
Napatulala ako saglit nang iabot niya sa akin ang palad niya pagkatapos kong makatayo.
"We're going to teleport."
"Ah, about that, I suggest you teleport first and afterward, say my name so that you could pull me out from here. Just a confirmation to what happened a while ago."
"Alright." Saad niya habang binababa ang palad niya.
And before I could blink, he was already gone from my sight.
Napabuntong hininga na lamang ako. Pero nagulantang din nang bigla na lamang umihip nang napakalakas ang hangin dahilan para mapaangat ako ng kamay para takpan ang mga mata kong ipinikit ko rin ng kaunti pero muli ko rin iyong minuklat nang biglang may sumilaw at doon na ako natigilan at namangha.
Parang mabagal sa paningin ko ang pag-iibang anyo ng paligid habang nakaawang ang aking labi. Ang mga dahon ng mga nagsisitaasang puno ay parang mas naging sagana sa dahon at hindi lamang kulay madilim na berde ang nakikita ko kundi iba-ibang kulay na pero hindi lang iyon, ang mga dahon ay lumiliwanag! Nasaksihan ko rin ang unti-unting pagtubo ng samu't saring halaman hanggang sa magpakita ang mga ito ng mga namumukadkad na bulaklak. Oh, God! Pinuno noon ang paligid na kanina'y napakalawak na bakanteng lupang pinupuno lamang ng damo. At mas lalo pa akong namangha nang magsilabasan ang mga kumikislap na insekto tulad ng mga paru-paro at alitaptap. Nagdulot din sa akin ng pagkagulat ang pagtatalon ng mga makukulay pero maliliit na isda sa ilog!
Whoa! What the heck is happening to this place! Ibang-iba na ito sa anyo na nasaksihan ko kanina! Parang bigla itong naging kabuhay-buhay! So magical as this gives me a feeling of an incredible home! At alam ko sa sarili ko na napakasaya ko ngayon!
"Cleschia."
Nakangiti akong napalingon sa tumawag sa akin mula sa likuran.
"Vynth, this place..." Masyado nga talaga akong nasakop ng lugar na ito na nakalimutan kong tatawagin pala ako ni Vynth at magte-teleport ako.
"So, all this time, this place has been waiting for you."
"Huh?"
"Should I say you're the guardian of this Bosque de Paraiso?"
"Bosque de Paraiso? That's the name of this forest?"
"Yeah."
"But how come I turn this place like this?"
"This is its original appearance. It only looked like an abandoned and mysterious place all of a sudden seventeen years ago. And oh, for those seventeen years, I was the only one who had entered and been repetitively here without obstructing my powers as well as the one who could feel its refreshing air and hear the river current in the meantime. No doubt why I am welcomed here." Napailing siya with a hint of a small smile on his lips.
Napatangu-tango na lamang ako bago muling sinulyapan ang paligid.
"This feels home to me, Vynth." Kung pwede lang na dito na lang ako magpalipas ng gabi.
"Stay for a while, then. We'll just go if you already want to leave."
Nanatili nga kami doon ng ilan pang minuto hanggang sa inaya ko na rin siya. Sinunod pa rin namin ang napagkasunduan kanina na mauuna muna siyang mag-teleport at tatawagin niya ako.
Nang mawala na siya sa paningin ko, maya-maya rin noon ay nakaramdam ako ng paghila. And there, I found myself standing in front of him again while we were at the doors of our room.
"Go back to your room now. You still need more rest." Pagkatapos niyang sabihin yan ay tinalikuran na niya ako para pumasok na rin sa kanyang kwarto.
Napangiti na lamang ako ng mapakla at napahawak sa may bandang dibdib nang maalala ko ang naging pag-uusap namin kanina lalo na sa mga naisagot ko kanina sa kanya.
