Chapter 15 - Chapter 3, Part 1: Disappointment

I know it was ruthless of me to bash Satou like that but he had it coming. Who treats a girl like that? Be it weak or strong everyone should be treated equally, that is the idealogy that I believe in. And watching other so-called white-uniformed students stand there and watch; no less smile while a fellow student was being tormented, how cruel could they get? Considering these facts, I decided to vent out my anger a little.

I sure do hope that I did not come across as too powerful, those were some pretty higher level spells I used on Satou. However well deserving it was. My style of fighting is never direct combat; I try to get as much information as possible on my opponent and try to defeat them with a sure-fire winning strategy, that has always been my style.

This time too, I played the same trick on Satou that I had played on Ms. Hikki. I created a shadow clone using [Body Double] spell. This spell allowed me to copy the information of my soul and will which included mana and making a clone by manifesting it to a physical object such as wood, shadow, or water.

Then I hid my presence with [Complete Invisibility] and slowly walked behind Satou. Now I did not want to show my true powers just yet, so I intentionally created the illusion to the onlookers that I traveled in super-fast lightning speed and attacked Satou from behind. But in reality, I just crept behind him and canceled the effects of [Body Double] and [Complete Invisibility] simultaneously, thus making the illusion seem real.

After that, I just had to vent my anger on him, which was quite easy, since I had my wand. My wand has part of my soul manifested in it, thus, it can hold 2 spells in its Soul Slot [Nullify] was one spell and the other was [Nihility], making my overall Soul Slot to be 8 which was more than normal capacity.

Now [Nihility] is a very powerful spell, it allowed the caster to reflect ten-folds the damage received to the target all the while healing the caster with the same amount of damage that the target receives. So, in short for the damage the pink-haired girl received from Satou, he received it ten folds and the damage that he received as an effect of [Nihility] helped heal the girl in return.

This spell was the most powerful spell I had trouble mastering, it took almost a year to finally get the hang of it.

After I left the unconscious and slightly burned body of Satou of the ground, I calmed myself and made my way out of the ground into the building. This was supposed to be a good day but I had already injured someone. A noble family's son no less. It's bound to give me trouble later.

But what's done was done and I made myself focus on the positive side, a glass half full approach. Besides, how could I go against my father and mother's wishes right? They said that if some noble tried to bully, I can bash them, so I did.

I did not worry about the consequence that much, because I had confidence that I could handle it.

'Um, Excuse me, sir,'

Sir?

I turned around and saw the pink-haired girl bowing down in front of me.

'My name is Tina Mei and I really want to thank you for your help, sir'

She said in deep gratitude.

It was true, if I hadn't been around to save her, she would have been horribly injured and toyed with.

'Don't fret it; it's no big deal, please don't bow, it's kind of embarrassing,'

I requested her. She timidly raised her head and her big brown eyes gazed at me in admiration. Her cheeks were slightly red and flustered.

'Why was he troubling you?'

I suddenly realized that I didn't know why Satou tormented her to that extent. Did she do anything to offend him?

'I am a first-year student and recently joined the academy so I am not familiar with the surrounding. I wanted to go to my class but I got lost and somehow arrived here. I saw a small group of boys coming this way, so I sought for their help. Then suddenly, a thin blond white-uniformed boy made a disgusted face and said 'How can such a lowly commoner dare to stand in front of me,' and saying so he ordered the black-haired guy to bring me to him and he passed me by leaving the black-haired boy behind,'

She rambled.

'Can you recognize the blond boy?'

The girl nodded.

'Do you know who you tried to mess with?'

A group of boys and girls in white uniforms approached us. I did notice them before they were intently listening to our conversation.

'No, why do you ask?'

I calmly asked.

'You just injured the right hand of Young Master Ronan Valkyrie, the prodigy heir of Valkyrie family,'

A girl with golden curly hair proudly declared.

'So?'

I seriously could not see how that title could scare me.

'Don't you have any shame boy, he is the heir of one of the 4 powerful families in the capital and on top of that he is a prodigy, if he hears that you have beaten up his right-hand he will not leave you in peace,'

A short-haired boy answered this time.

'Oh, okay thank you for the information, I will keep that in mind,'

I decided not to pay too much attention to their words. At least I got the name of the thin blond boy - Ronan Valkyrie, eh, in an instant my perception about him decreased.

'Don't act as if you're someone important, what is your name?'

A blue-haired boy asked, his tone was quite vexing

'I'm Ricardo Dinnar,'

I humbly replied.

From the corner of my eye I could see Tina's eyebrows raised in surprise, she was about to say something but refrained herself.

'Who are you? Are you even from a noble family? I haven't heard any noble family called Dinnar,'

'Yes, don't be so cocky, you are not even an ant in front of Young Master Valkyrie,'

'You better be careful,'

'C'mon fellas, what do you want with me? If you're here to talk about something important then its fine but if you're here to praise that Ronan something asshole, please leave us alone,'

I bluntly said. Their useless words were making me lose my calm. Personally I don't give a damn about status be it a commoner or a young master.

'How dare you call the Young Master with names?'

The curly blond-haired girl's eyes lit up in fury.

I really did not want to fight with these people so I decided to ignore them.

'Hey, Tina did you not have a map in your Carborator?'

I asked.

Seeing me ignore the blond girl, other people got quite furious.

'Fucking asshole, who do you think you are to ignore us?'

A short-haired boy came forward and forcefully pushed me.

I was pushed back and lightly bumped on Tina.

'Don't create a scene,'

My voice was calm but I gave a serious gaze.

'Are you threatening me?'

The boy asked, his voice was loud and so it attracted attention.

'I am warning you,'

I said. This time I was honestly serious.

'Who the fuck are you to threaten me?'

The boy folded his right-hand sleeves half-way up revealing a silver bracelet.

[Activate]

The bracelet shone bright which meant that he had activated his Cargon and was intending to attack me.

I too was excited to see what spells he would use given that he just saw me defeating Satou.

[Point Fireball]

Instantly my expectations shattered as I heard him cast the spell. A very thin laser-like red-ray came out of the bracelet and passed through my stomach. I felt the heat radiating inside my stomach. The boy's light lit up as he saw the ray burning a hole in my body.

'You see, he's a lame-ass guy, pathetic as his status, a fucking nobody,' the boy mocked.

'What a weak-ass spell is this?' I glared at him, an evil smile curled on my lips.

'Is this your strongest spell? It isn't even worth defending,'

I mocked him.

I thought that he would at least put up a decent fight because he dared to challenge me after seeing my battle with Satou. But it turns out that I overestimated this guy, he was just an idiot who wanted to play big. As far as I could guess, he wanted to show off his strength by defeating me, a conclusive proof that he was stronger than Satou. But as I said, he's just an idiot.

The boy's face was shocked beyond belief, it was disgusting to look at him.

SNAP!

I slapped tightly right across his face, to be honest, I held my power and just used a pinch but it was enough to make him fall to the ground. Watching me slap the boy, the arrogant curly-haired girl looked at me with her eyes wide open, she was shocked. I saw blood starting to run down his nose.

'Leave us alone,'

I said coldly.

'Come, Tina let's go,'

I gestured Tina to come with me.

Seriously what the hell is wrong with the students of this academy? This academy is known for its excellent system and skilled magicians. Many of the famous magicians in Royal Palace is an alumnus of this academy so why is there such discrimination and why are there students like Satou and that short-haired boy who cared about nothing but status?

I was disappointed by the standards on the very first.
