Chapter 3 - Chapter 1, Part 1: The Anomaly

Everything needs a system and anything that breaks the system or is out of the predicted scope of the system is considered an Anamoly. This is one of the Universal Laws that govern the Universe.

But like all machines, the system needs caretakers too. After all, if the machine is not maintained properly it does not work well. A machine needs maintenance. So, to act as the maintainers of the system, absolute beings, and a supreme being were born.

These powerful beings were an existence that existed to maintain and make sure that the system worked well and fine. There were only one Supreme Being and Five Absolute Beings.

Supreme Being Yeham ruler and overseer of Time, Absolute Being Shane ruler of Law, Absolute Being Hashim ruler of Chaos, Absolute Being Malici ruler of Life, Absolute Being Grimm ruler of Death and Absolute Being Ceil ruler of Chance and Randomness.

Aside from these powerful beings, the system was made up of a cluster of realities. These realities were given space at a certain time. A world would normally manifest reality in other words a world was the physical form of reality and a spirit would govern that world.

Spirits were born of the fragment of the Absolute Beings. In reality, they had no form, they were just a part of the Absolute Rulers soul that inherited their will and energy. But they could take over a human form.

One reality could only have one spirit to govern it, such as the Universal Law. The spirits derived its power and strength from the quality of the soul that existed in the world. All living things possessed a soul including plants; the soul would be judged by its quality and the quality was determined by the deeds it did.

Thus, living beings were divided into Pure Beings and Impure beings. Pure beings were those who were born with a pure soul and it would remain pure for the rest of their life. Impure beings were those who were born with a pure soul but over time it had a chance to get impure. This happened because the pure souls did not have a will of their own and impure souls did.

The quantity of the purity of souls gave power to the spirit and in return, the spirits provided them with blessings. The more the soul was pure the powerful the blessing would get and vice versa. The blessing of the spirit would unlock the skills and abilities of that soul.

Besides from the spirit, the world had a Will of its own. The Will was a set of laws that all the living beings in the world were obliged to follow. So, in simple words, Will was the laws of the world and spirits, its judge.

Such was the working of the system.

But many, many years ago, an incident occurred. That incident was so big that it caused an Anamoly that dumbfounded Absolute Beings. That incident was The Great Chaos War. A rogue spirit born of the Ruler of Chaos called Vermillion, somehow gained power from an unknown source. The power was so great that he did not need to depend on the purity of the souls. Thus, in order to demonstrate his great and overwhelming power to the Absolute Beings and with a hope to defeat the Supreme Being, he destroyed his own world.

Since it was an unpredicted outcome of the system that followed hierarchical status, the hands of the Absolute Rulers were tied as the Universal Law dictated that the Rulers were not to subjugate or interfere in the matters of reality and spirits.

Seeing that there was no sign of retaliation from the Rulers, Vermillion felt an emotion he had not felt before. Rage and Anger.

He believed that the Rulers were looking down on him, and so in order to retaliate, he came to Canaan, a reality, known for its purity of souls among the rulers in heaven, and started creating havoc and destruction as he had done with his own world. But the living beings of Canaan had a strong will and pure soul; they fought to protect their reality.

After a long strenuous and disastrous fight, the people living in Canaan were able to seal Vermillion in reality. But in doing so, that reality became inhabitable for them since it bore the curse and rage of Vermillion.

So in search of a new world and reality, they came to Vendor.

Vendor was still in its primitive stage of evolution as a reality. So, in order to not be a hindrance in the evolving process of Vendor, the spirit of Canaan, Canaanim created a realm in an alternate dimension in the same reality and made a place, a dwelling for his souls to live. He named this dwelling Canaan, after their previous world.

Everything looked good and well for the Canaanites. But the Spirit of Vendor, Vendores was not happy with the emergence of Canaan.

Vendores could not accept that another spirit was dwelling in her reality along with his souls. This infuriated her. So in rage, she unleashed her wrath upon Vendor. The Absolute Beings could not do anything about it since making a rift in a dimension and changing the hardwired ways of the system was against the Universal Law. This disastrous event would be called The Age of Sorrow in the history of Vendor.

Vendores's wrath took the lives of many souls from Canaan as well as Vendor; although Vendor had unintelligent living beings but still they were pure so this wrath of hers greatly reduced both hers and Canaanim's energy.

Mustering up the remaining energy left in him the Spirit of Canaan; Canaanim tried to protect his souls. But the damage was done. Thus both sides lost a lot of souls. This caused both the spirits to weaken and they both went on a long hibernating period.

In the meantime, the souls that had received the blessing of each respective spirits tried to repopulate their respective domains in order to strengthen the spirits.

The Will of Vendor also changed from Karma based system to a Power-based system. What it meant was that before Vendor followed the laws of Karma, souls were rewarded or punished based on the acts they did. But after Vendores released her wrath, the laws of the world changed and it started to favor power.

It simply meant that the world and the reality belonged to the spirit who would overpower the latter.

Very soon, Vendor became an Anamoly.
