Erita got into her car as her assistant reminding her to keep an alarm. She lived in a mansion with her sister, assistant and her female bodyguard. As she took her keys out she noticed some noise and knocked instead. It was usually Erita who came first home , had Iris been dragged out of her laboratory?
Iris grinning came and opened the door for her twin. When she opened the she was greeted by her sister's curious and serious face.
"Erita Your back I have a surprise for you!" she exclaimed happily. Erita looked tired her eyes half closed and her face showed how much pressure she had today.
Iris led a half amused and half tired Erita into the drawing room. There was indeed a surprise awaited for Erita as she laid her eyes on Alexia.
Alexia! Their childhood best friend! Alexia had moved to another city and was a model there.
They had exchanged a pair of hair clips so that they were reminded of their friend.
Alexia sat there with a twinkle in her eye and a large grin which indicated that she was immensely amused by Erita's mouthdropping expression. Erita ran across the room and tightly hugged her friend who hugged her back happily.
"My dear Alex how are you!?" She questioned immediately after their bear like hug."I'm fine Eri but you don't look so good have you been overworking again. You know you should take a break from all these overwhelming work you have."
And it was decided that Alex would stay in the Mansion as long as she stayed here.
The girls were very happy and had chatted the whole night.And due to this Erita arrived at the company with a tired and serious face.
As she entered her office she was greeted with one of kind sight. Caleb Stail was smiling instead of scowling.
She greeted him with a amused expression. The Manes apparently had tried a cheap tactic of sending a spy and the spy was caught red handed by him which immensely pleased him.
She chuckled as he narrated the story.
Caleb could be nice if he wanted to she too had noticed that from their 2 year friendship she had found a lot about him.
They had lunch together which invited a lot of stares from the workers. Erita was tired when they entered the mansion. She immediately slept after she showered.
The next week passed uneventfully. That Monday as she was in the car she saw a man who was soaking wet and walking on the pavement. His blond hair and glassy blue eyes reminded her of so someone.
Caleb! What was he doing here? She thought and instructed her driver to take her there.
He continued walking but when he heard the clicking of heels. He turned his head and was surprised to see Erita Miles walking toward him with her eyebrows furrowed. She got him into the car. He was icy cold to touch. As she reprimanded him she could feel her heart thumping wildly in her chest.
What was this feeling? Why was it pestering her? She wanted to find the answer but couldn't. How was she supposed to ask someone without making them suspicious she thought as they drive home and Caleb was dozing of peacefully in the car.
When he woke up he would feel a soft hand on his forehead. He opened his eyes to see Erita in her work clothes checking his temperature.
"Where am I" he asked while looking into her beautiful jewel like violet eyes gazing back at him with concern.
He knew he had liked this kind, smart and enticing woman, but what was this feeling?
